what would this country be like if .....

We would have no capabilities to defend ourselves, no more roads or repairs of roads, every possible tax would increase and most businesses would run for the hills. Still, at least there would be a higher minimum wage... right?

No use talking to liberal lefty - everything must be fair in life for them, when it will never be.

Liberal lefty? I believe green parties are called radical. Not liberal. I'm a liberal but I'm heavily against such people like him, the larger liberal party here ( the larger is a conservative-liberal party, the smaller one is a social democrat-liberal party) is the 2nd most right wing party from all popular political parties, liberalism has nothing to do with being left wing and leeching from others. Liberal is about allowing as much as possible and have as little rules as possible. Green is ban as much as possible and anything bad for the environment, and treat animals better than people.

Please explain what is so bad about that, I would work for £8.10ph, I am sure I won't for £5.80ph
How on earth do you manage to get such a low wage, I'm 19 and earn 8.90€ ph for unskilled work ( despite doing work anyone can do, I managed to get almost double the minimum wage)? What are you ( or have you studied) studying ? How much effort have you put into finding a nice job ?

Wanting to travel anywhere.

Exactly, how can people call a party which wants to prohibit people traveling where they want when they want liberal ? A true liberal party would refuse to use motorists as piggy banks and allow everyone to travel by car if they please.

I'm not getting into this ^ but here is a green thought for the day:

Fuller cited de Chardenedes' opinion that petroleum, from the standpoint of its replacement cost out of our current energy "budget" (essentially, the net incoming solar flux), had cost nature £200,000 per litre to produce.

Adapted from this.

Now that I agree with. The guy that sits at home doing nothing is so unfair to me, because I am paying for him to do so.

Indeed!

I cringe every month at the amount of tax I have to pay to fund all the lazy individuals that sit on there backsides doing Sweet FA..

This country is totally crazy... my grandmother who has bed bound for 20 years due to disability .. and towards the end of her life could barley move without breaking bones due to cancer had her disability benefit stopped because she couldn't go to a meeting at the job centre..

yet we willingly pay for people to sit at home and leech of the rest of society.. something is wrong.. especially when you see the attitudes of some people!

Na just expects it to be handed to him on a plate

i believe a lot of people who are unemployed do want to work but the job centre are pretty much useless most of the time

i was unemployed for a while after returning from travelling and my 'job advisor' was a student filling the position whilst on break from uni because the numbers were too high. she didn't care a toss and neither did most of the senior people there , though i do understand this is not always the case.

Dont vote for them for god sake, I've worked for the Greens over here, and its like an Old Boys Club, filled with upper class knobs each one of which have a bucket load of cash and tons of spare time that they personally can use to live "green" but who completely fail to realise that the average person does not have the funds or spare time available to do it. Very cliquey, bunch of ***** imho.

I imagine the Greens in the rest of the UK are the same?

I agree they are pretty useless, i was unemployed for a year after school both 'Connexions' and Job Centre were useless to me, rarely found me anything and never got me a single interview anywhere, i only got them when looking myself, eventually ended up doing a college course and then getting a job straight after.
