What would you buy for £2k?

I wouldnt, pull up anywhere in an S13 and you look like the bank froze your money :/

Has anyone ever told you you're an incredible snob? :D

I think the S13 is a far better looking car than the S14 (S14a aside).

I actually considered a 200sx but imo it would have to have been a s14, maybe id of bought a pill who knows, but the s13 a little dated now, still damn good drives im sure

It's not dated, it's retro ;).

Don't be so ridiculous.

believe it or not it was. that was for the 2.5v6 mondeo, can't remember exact quotes, but here's a few from my last spec me thread.

Galant £370 bell
Mx6 £460 bell
mx 3 £602 sabre
Toyota Soarer V8 4.0l £369 CSMA

makes me sick that I'm paying £430 on the carisma..

Thank you

S13 = sports car :D
S14 = Tourer

why do u think they put a 2L engine into the S14 ? becuase its heavier and to make it more "refined" :D :o

:eek: I dont see how a 4L engined car makes it cheaper to insure than say a 2L or a 2.5L!

That makes no sense what so ever

I remember a friend at work told me hes paying about £1500 for a 2L vectra i think it was, and i said to him, that my 1.8T 200SX is £400 fully comp, and ive been driving for 5 years, and im 29, hes in his 30's, i cant work that one out either becuase my car is a lot faster than his etc

apart for the 4.0ltr and the Mazda they where all the 2.5

That's what I said in my other thread. It's crazy, but that's insurance for you. That's why I say, never rule out any cars without checking the insurance quote.

Well, I'd rather have a S14a. But this is about getting a car for 2k, and for 2k any S14 is going to be past it.

Dammit I thought it was an opinion thread not a what shall I buy thread. For 2k I would get my Prelude back!

Anyway nice choice with the 306, should be reliable and fairly nice. The downside is there are a lot of cars more special/interesting that you could have gone for!
