What would you do with £50,000?

Being 17 I'd get...

A Good example of an Original Mini Cooper with an upgraded engine for my first car (and insurance and such :p ) or a new VW Sicrocco (spelling? :confused:)

Nikon D90 + 55-200VR + SB-600 Flash + A load of Filters + Good Tripod + Other accessories

Get a new PC cause this one i got now is poop!

Blu Ray player

42" 1080 HDTV.

Thats all I can think of atm! :p

Then invest about 10K in something...maybe 5K into Premium Bonds...2 or 3K into a bank account for my 4 year old brother (with the account maturing when he's 17)
 
i spend quite a bit getting my website built and getting my business concept off to a flying start, at the mo no money spare to move the idea forward even an inch!!

You just got 50k, I'd rather get a Jag or BMW 740i or merc S class or similar :p.

I would buy my missus a smart little Fiat 500 as she is banging on about getting one.

Pay a chunk off the mortgage

Put some aside in an separate account to use for holidays for the next few years. Nothing extravangant - nice Villa in Greece, Italy is our sort of thing.

Save the rest (or use it to buy gold and sit on it - not literally!!).
 
Buy a cheap house and maybe rent it out to make some cash back!

I hear being a landlord is better than the average 9 to 5 so that 50 grand would be a good place to start!
 
I'd buy:

Mesa Boogie Mark IV
MIA Fender Jazzmaster
Jackson SL2HT
Tubescreamer of some sort, and an assortment of other pedals.

Guitars are my main interest right now so I dunno what I'd do with the rest.

edit: trip to Japan. How could I forget that. :p

You can buy a house for that much up north, sit on it for 4-5 years and you will have tripled your money. I don't see a easier option than that, as appose to bet it all on red 3 times.
 
not easy, its not a big large amount of money, investing it will never make enough to live off and it isnt enough to do that much with if you want to go crazy,,,
 
Rig out a nice home studio, buy drum kits and expensive equipment etc. Also pay for all my driving lessons and car and stuff get a nice starting car and all :). Then probably bank the rest for when i need it, be it clothes, possibly Uni, socialising and all that jazz :). Oh i would also spend huge amounts impressing a certain girl atm lmao!
 
go too every music festival on the go, get some pioneer dvj 1000s a pioneer efx 1000 and a djm 800, top end drum kit , a double necked gibson les paul, mesa boogie tripple rectifier and a wall of marshalls , thats probably half the collateral away already would definetly need a white suit with that kind of money :)

get some hand made jeans from rabbi denim in glasgow then treat the family too a holiday with rest

a would be snorting coke from lesbians but my dealer got 2 years in jail last monday :(
