When I started properly a couple of months back I could only bench half my weight, I was 140lbs, and could only bench around 30kg.
My squat was around 55kg.

Suicidle, how much can you bench press now? I've never done proper weights before, and have just started to bench 30kg, and I weigh 50kg lol. How long did you stick with around 30 before adding?

thanks

Raz

50kg? How tall are you?

I've had bench press in my programme which I got from a trainer for a few months but I wasn't increasing and I wasn't bulking at that time. I've been bulking for a few months now and my sqaut has gone up to 65kg and my bench is at 45kg, in the new 3 weeks I'm hoping to try and increase that to 50kg.

Anyway, I'm on a programme to bulk and add strength, diet's more or less sorted. I'm doing 30 tomorrow, and want to be doing 40kg next week :p

Good luck with it :) Are you doing a 3 day split or a full body workout?

Got a four day split, according the plan in this order:

Monday - Upper Body Strength
Tuesday– Lower Body Hypertrophy
Thursday – Upper Body Hypertrophy
Friday – Lower Body Strength

Completely depends on your genetics, as to how naturally strong you are. I could bench 160lbs first time I tried at 16, which I was told was quite impressive.

Im a big lad though, and weighed about 195lbs at the time, so relative to my size it might not be that great.
