You are not the only one. My bro says if he could straighten out his hair like they do then he'd go for it

Why cant people be unique.... oh wait they are trying to be unique :p

anyone feel like conducting an experiment and wearing a piece of clothing from all the "scenes" and see what they look like? Might look kinda cool, or might turn into a complete disaster and mean the end of the world!!!!!!!!! ehem

*snip* tighter clothes and slightly less suicidal tendencies.

So what are they, what music do they identify with, what do they class themselves as, how do they fit into modern society, and are they a threat?

Identify with Emo music...
they class themselves as Emo's i guess, they get very uptight about classifications.
they fit into modern society by being the bit that nobody is sure why its there.
Definatly not a threat unless one touches you as then you become one.

They are asexual as a specie with hight rates of "attempted sucide" less than goths id say.
they use self harm and emotional problems as a way to get attention.

if your child/sibiling starts to become an Emo the only way to stop them is to burn them with Fire!

a list i made that i had on my old old site but i just like copied it over to the new one hence the bad layout

I take pride in knowing there is no one else like me. Emo kids no matter how much they deny can never actually be certain of that fact. Dress the same, act the same, listen to the same music. Probably even have the same thoughts at the exact same time :p

OMG it's a young Boris Johnston.

tbh I've spent about 30 mins reading through this thread and Im still none-the-wiser as to what an "emo" is. Is it a flightless bird? Is it Bert's best friend? From the pictures "emo" people look to be some form of "Goth-lite"/ skater types with a touch of early Manics thrown in for good measure.

Don't see why everyone is getting so upset, these things are generally just middle-class kids trying to rebel :) (with added emphasis on the word "trying" here)

Oh and to quote the infamous line from "Life of Brian":

Brian "You all individuals!"
Crowd "YES! WE ARE ALL INDIVIDUALS!"

sorry, seemed apt somehow :D
