Whats it with girls and height?

Girls tend to want strong men and without knowing a guy will go off the visible appearance and primal thoughts.

I'm a short guy and been passed over by women based on height (ironically height seems to be a bigger issue than a disability I've found). But I'm also quite a strong personality around other males (I've grown up mostly around males), and I've noticed a couple of women pass me over at first and then when they see how I am in the male group suddenly come over and started chatting.

I've been with some 10/10 women and watching paint dry is more entertaining.

New Napoleon film shaping up nicely

5 foot 6 here and really struggled with women up until around the age of 30 when I could afford a nice car and a whole new world opened up to me.

Girls generally like to feel like the man they're with is capable of protecting them, it's an attractive trait, a partner being tall is a sign they're capable of that. Other stuff like being strong, having a bit of muscle, being a trained fighter, etc are also attractive traits for the same reason.
LOL at those taking the ****. I'm tall-ish, but look taller, slim built but with more joint strength than muscle, trained fighter and ex-soldier. Those are some of the qualities my wife always liked in me... and since I really can't believe any woman would want someone with shiny kit syndrome, who's a gear head, 80s movies and music fan, and computer games geek who spends far too much time arguing ******** with tossers on the internet - I'm inclined to agree with Roar.

I thought shortness was a disability.
Not if you have lots of lifting from ground level to do... or if you need someone that drinks and knows things...

I'd date a girl who was taller, I'd want to know she genuinely doesn't have a problem with it. I have to admit though it would be a bit off putting!

Fat on other hand is a def no from me.

Personal preference is fine. Double standards are not.

Gf is 5'10 and I'm 6ft. So really close.

Are you sure it wasn't that you got increased self-esteem and confidence from having a flash car, which made you more attractive as a result? I don't think the majority of women care about what car a guy drives, it's the confidence they notice. Being confident adds inches!

I found the worst thing a short guy can do is start dancing. It seems to look comical and a turn off to women... though I thought I was the greatest dancer :D

Attracting women is more about having confidence in yourself.. and not dancing like an idiot.

Of course confidence helps, but a nice car is a sign that a man is successful and able to provide, again an attractive trait.

I'm 5'4, I've dated a guy who was the same height as me and guy who was 6'8, though most guys I have dated have been around the 6' mark. Height has never been an influencing factor for me, though honestly I do find guys more attractive if they appear strong (but you don't need to be tall to be strong - I'm freakishly strng for a small person apparently :D). The majority of us are influenced by looks in one way or another, but it does seem weird that height would play such a big factor.

That said it doesn't hurt to have a partner who would be handy to have around in the event of a zombie apocalypse :p
