I bought an x1950xt-x a few weeks ago (yeah..I wasn't thinking straight) from OCUK. When I first installed the card, I noticed the fan wasn't working so I did the usual checks and it seemed that one of the pins on the fan header socket is about 1/3rd normal length. I managed to get the fan to work normally by playing with the way it was plugged into the socket but any minor knocks/whatever tend to dislodge it and cause the fan to fail. Wootz :/
I obviously should've returned it straight away but unfortunately I need the graphics card and really can't go a week or whatever without access to my pc.
What kind of turnaround would OCUK have for this sort of thing? I'm aware that I should call/raise a ticket but I don't really want to get the official ball rolling until I'm either sure I won't be without a card for long and/or can arrange alternative pc access.
I presume calling into the store would be quicker but I don't want to travel down there if they'll just give me hassle and refuse to exchange there and then...
Anyone got any ideas?
