Where is the INTEL press release then?? Until the company who actual makes the CPU and chipsets says so it is just marketing fud. When Ivy Bridge

Wow,your the one is delusional and is clueless about how motherboards companies have made claims in the past. You seem to believe marketing fluff from companies. BTW,what about the other companies who don't support Bulldozer with their older 800 series chipset AM3 motherboards.

You keep on dodging the question though - where is the OFFICIAL Intel statement about computability from their website or an OFFICIAL press release?? :D

:D

I will be happy then as I can upgrade my CPU to something better.

It will come in time:D

Guess they dont want to hurt sales of sandybridge yet, understandable.

Why would it hurt sales? If anything it would help sales of DIY PCs as people would know they have a decent upgrade path.

I can remember the marketing fluff with Core 2 when similar claims were made for certain chipset implementations too.

Like I said if the compatibility is confirmed by Intel then I will be happy that you are right.

I3 2100 + dedicated graphics card >>> AMD. More cores =/= faster CPU. Theres a good reason why AMD quad and hex cores are so cheap compared to Intel, and that is quite honestly that they are pure garbage.

For the last few posts above, its common knowledge at this point that Ivy Bridge CPUs will work on current SB boards.

This +1 X 1,000,000

AMD are suffering big time now, no one is buying their old junk, everyone wants Sandybridge etc.
