What's the last album you listened to?

I find I keep making my own albums / playlists :o

My currently custom version of Ok Computer is:
Airbag
Paranoid Android
Sub. Homesick Alien
How to disappear completely
Karma police
There there
Wish you were here (pink floyd)
Like spinning plates
Perfect day (Lou reed)

Easily the best album ever made :p

They ARE nu-metal with industrial metal influences.

Think Prong meets Korn.

Please tell me you're not going to categorise Fear Factory and Rammstein as nu metal too? both are Industrial metal, like Ministry and Static-X, Nu Metal is completely different

Spineshank are nu metal

Why the hell do you keep categorising bands into stupid pidgeon holes?
Rammstein are rock.

Modeselektor - Monkeytown

More vocals than I expected but another great album from them. As usual, but even more so than previous releases, it's impossible to pigeonhole. Has plenty dirty electro, stretched out, glitchy and ethereal vocals, techno, gets a bit funky for a while, and some good chunks of bass.

I'm listening to this right now, it's a good album and has grown on me a little.

So much bass though, once of the few albums I've got to turn the sub down on. Saying that Evil Twin is a brutal tune and you really need everything turned up to eleven to fully appreciate it :D

The Weeknd, having seen the name appearing in many lists of the next big thing...its not, complete *****

Watched the Pearl Jam doc '20' last night. Very interesting and went back to listen to their back catalogue. A band I used to dislike - seemed too serious - but some cracking tunes, esp the live versions. Mike McCready really underrated, tasty player.

Totally agree I've never been a fan of labelling music as Rock, Metal, Pop etc and if you throw in all these weird sub genres it's a total mess and what does it achieve? Nothing just allows some people to argue on a message board for me there is only one thing that matters do I want to listen to it or do I not.

Back on topic just listened to Daivd Ford - Live from New York City which is absolutely brilliant and I suggest well worth checking out and for the genre obsessives I would define him as Nu-Folk, old-Pop, classic-Rock Electronica :D
