What's the little thing that makes you smile?

Coming up behind BMW drivers who goal hang the fast lane and then watching their faces when they are overtaken by a Clio :D

1. pulling up at the various traffic lights every 20 meters in london and surrey and noticing at least one person giving my car the look over.

2. All the people who say "nice car!" when they get a lift or see it.

3. The noice from the engine even at low revs and the feeling i get when you look at the speedo and you realise your doing 100 without even breaking a sweat.... backing off quickly.

Red Alfa Romeo GTV 16V 2.0 TS :) Quite old an surprisingly cheap (given the awful depreciation, high insurance, bad fuel economy and horrific repair costs) car, but you get a lot for your money.

the mini made me smile everything about it when driving i was smiling. great fun.

in the nova. boost and beating hot hatches what a thrill.

the corsa doeent make me smile at all its nasty and filthy and awfully slow yuk.
beats the bus tho.

the look on a saxo vtr drivers face when a filthy 5 door G reg 205 with algee on the boot over takes him. :D

reminding my boss my £150 205 is faster than his mk1 punto sporting, on the twistys and the straights. :D

Putting £80+ worth in my car, and NOT having a fuel card.... :(

My car makes me smile a lot, at around 5500RPM:D

Will tell you when i pick it up on thursday, but from my limited experience, i just love the sort throw on the gear stick, changing gear is such a joy!

and dirty looking school girls :(

What car is this again?

Driving on my twisities makes me smile. Lived on them for 21 years almost, I love knowing where to look and where all the bumps and opposite cambers are. I've had some novice drivers in beemers and porches cars take me on a straight then all of a sudden have a 206 up their rear end or along side them after a corner.

The 206 handling is a little rubbish though, too much body roll. But its nice to have a little fun with the "big boys" now and again.

Not really had much to smile about with my recent cars except for the Toyota when I turned around on a one lane road once. The guy's face that dropped when I stuck the front end into about 6 feet of snow, bogged the front tyres down by pushing it a little further, then threw it in 4WD and backed out like it was nothing special!! The poor guy just couldn't believe his eyes when I had done more in 15-30 seconds to clear the snow plow bank from the end of his driveway than he had done probably in about two hours with a snow shovel!! I then put it back in 1st and completely blew through the bank, put it back in reverse and churned the path a little wider backing back out again!! :p

When I still had my little Chevrolet L.U.V. pickup, it was quite amusing to embarrass Mustang GT drivers during SLGP's....

When I had my Jeep CJ5 it always made me smile to plant the loud pedal. Mainly because I had REASON to call it a loud pedal as I basically had a pair of open pipes for exhaust!! :D

I smile because people cant beleave someone as young as me is driving such a big car lol

I also smile at people as i stand the fuel pump puttin in £75 quid and watching other cars come in go pay and leave and am still standing there, guy in the garage is classic lol

Coming off the A42 sliproad into Ashby I feel a sense of occasion.

Something special about where I was bought up, and especially so when I return from say Scotland.

With the car, it has to be filling up. I dont even notice how much it costs because I don't care. (Fuel Card :D)

Best thing about mine is the V6 noise through 6 branch manifold and no CAT etc and large bore 'zorst.

Rest of the car is pretty **** tho, although it is getting better every weekend i spend on it!

I found that when I borrow the 530d and in a real sad way I can't wait to experience it with a car I actually own :p

The noise of boost out of the exhaust under a tunnel.

Rover turbos on Mongoose's are really unique sounding
