Whats the most accomplished thing you can play on guitar ?

Die To Live and For The Love of God by Steve Vai - FTLOG i've only recently re-learned though so could be tighter.

Echidna's Arf Of You by Zappa - quintuplets f.t.w!

Oh you bunch of nubs why you all so much better than me. lmao

to be totally honest i get distracted / board of learning hole songs.. i can probably play 10 - 20 "sections" or intros to songs but only one or two songs all the way through. at the moment im trying to master the intro to plug in baby by muse. its going okay but im having a wee bit of trouble on the string bend and just before it.

been playing a couple of months so bear with me :)

I generally only play Muse :o (well, I only really make sure to completely learn their songs)

So whichever song you guys think is their hardest :p

Zefan hunny...

could you do me a favour please ;)

I assume you've learnt to play the intro to plug in baby..

if so..

when you get to the bit where you go up 7th fret on the d g b then 9th on a and back down.. whats your techique for this? ive been playing using my first finger barring and "running" up and down with my 1st and 2nd finger but both seem really difficult.. i just wanna know the 'pro's do then stick with it an practise if that makes any sense...

Pull harder on the strings of your martyr solo by Trivium
Lame song, lame band but terribly hard solo, can do it perfect :p

You roll your finger, so that only one string will sound at a time.

If you want me to record you a small demo, or go into more detail or something, add me to msn :)

from the last guitar warrior thread, i was kind of inspired by Gordy to learn Tears in Heaven by Clapton (only been playing for about a year on and off, last two months though been practising a lot), which I managed, so quite happy at that.

Currently learning Wish you were here by Pink Floyd and a couple of other songs. Though it's nothing compared to the missus, who's a classical guitar teacher and spent her youth around the midlands playing in gigs as a little'un (both classical and contemporary).

I bought a greatest hits RHCP book and took it over to her house, to which she went from one cover, to the other cover playing every song as she went, and playing every song well and sounding how it should... I hate her at times, haha ;)

only been playing less then 2 years so probably

Acoustic

Eric Claption - Tears in Heaven
Fleetwood Mac - Landslide
Fleetwood Mac - Never going back again

if I play my electric I tend to play the really easy power chord songs :D

Satch - Always with me, always with you
Starry Night

Friends
Vai - For the Love of God

What are you talking about? Because you've never heard of him he cant possibly play that stuff?

Strange logic.

I can play every song from the Satriani live in San Francisco dvd/cd apart from mystical potato head...which I can play but not at full speed :( I played the full concert (minus that song) at a gig in Birmingham at the now-burnt-down Eddies No.8 venue...RIP lol :D There are some Vai tracks which are a bitch to play too...Erotic Nightmares is such an under-rated track imo

Also, my ex-band and I used to play a few Dream Theater tracks (the easy ones lol), like Spirit Carries On, Pull me Under, Under a glass moon and Strang DejaVu - all without a keyboard player lol...

Eugenes trickbag and the other fills from crossroads..

Speaking of which..
