Whats you monthly internet usage?

I'd say I've been topping 60GB the past couple of months...

This ^^

I was capped last month for exceeding our monthly usage when I downloaded spore from EA.

Eclipse give me about 50 gb per month usage at 6mb download, 450kps up roughly..... but you can't exceed limits in "prime time" which is now effectively 9am till 11pm..... how flipping stupid is that?? The best part of the day I am at work, but when I get home from the gym about 8pm I can't download or stream stuff till after 11pm....

Is there anyway of measuring how much usage myself and 2 other PC's are using over a month? I did a search for software but couldn't find any simple to use stuff...

Is there any company I can pay a little more money to have unlimited downloads? Rather than go over, get capped and spend a month at dial up speeds (can't pay for further bandwidth till the reset date.)

Depending upon your router you can get figures for the amount of traffic broadcast both up and down (useful if your ISP has differing limits for its cap) - look in the bandwidth section of the router's config page. Alterntatively, if your router doesn't support this (or you don't even have a router), you can install software such as DU Meter (www.dumeter.com) which will monitor the amount of traffic going through your NIC.

Yep, undoubtedly. If you're prepared to pay then you'll find an ISP. Have a look at the Availability Checker over at www.samknows.com and see what's available for your location.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of those with >100GB/month download 'just because its there' and don't watch half of it or are downloading for others to watch (at a price)

One 45 minute 720p TV shows is about 1.1gb and 42m in length, you'd only have to watch 2h06m of TV a day.

Be There said I'd have to download 3.2TB (3200gb) over two months for them to care, I told them it sounded like a challenge.

I've since run out of Internet :(

6-8 gb a month roughly. Unless a demo I really want to try comes out. Some of the figures on here astound me. Downloading stuff purely for the sake of it surely?

I've used 4GB so far this month :p im not really on my computer a lot anymore but i play TF2 a bit and just generally surf the web

Use to average around 120GB-130GB per month, but now it's more like 50GB.

**At all people who download over 250GBp/m do you keep the data on your server farms or delete after watching/listening etc :p

I'm working up to 8tb of storage on my shuttle (4x1tb drives in the shuttle and 2x2tb esata externals). Once I hit that I may start deleting, but I've got another two PCs to start filling up with drives.

some of us would much rather pay for giganews subs than SKY+ HD.

as said above, 45min of TV is around 1.1GB and movies are generally anywhere between 4GB and 50GB.

Then there's the added bandwidth from Gaming, general browsing and other people in the house.

I delete TV, burn music CDs and save some movies.

Is Be Unlimited unmetered? It says Unlimited Usage, but Be Pro says 24/7 unlimited usage. The Pro option's the same price as I'm paying now anyway.
