Though it's not really a classic. The Fifth Element has remained my favourite sci fi mainly to do with how Luc Besson portrayed the future city

Pffft really cannot stand Sci-Fi's. They have to be the WORST kind of films, along with romance and all that.

Are those horror films with a science-fiction premise or just gory sci-fi?

The two genres have borrowed heavily from one another for too long for you to casually pigeon hole every film as one or other and then say : Horror is good and sci-fi is bad.
