whats your job ?

PhD student. I get paid to do it by the University Graduate School (supposedly more fancy than EPSRC but it is exactly the same money). I am 6 months in and find it mentally very tough but I am sticking with it :). I am studying factory design from an environmental point of view.

i make dog chewsticks ,5 days on then 5 off , sometimes 4 on then 5 off like next week ,moneys rubish but i have 6 weeks surfing coming up in cornwall at my holiday home and looking to buy a house for cash down there later this year ,will never do 9-5 again ,time to live is the key

Im going to try doing some marketing work online for my cousins company which has made millions over the last few years selling crap online that doesnt work to gullable people,if it pays i dont care though lol. Her and BF have told me that the people doing their marketing make a lot of money if they do it right, like 10 grand a week lol,but the majority dont make a penny:p Because im family i can get my stuff up online before the new products are released and promoted so i have a head start.
:

Sounds much like a pyramid scheme.

if the money's rubbish how can you afford a house for cash in such an expensive area?

Currently just a sales advisor at River Island but training to do mechanical engineering for the physics department at the University of Cambridge.

I did 1st-line support for a few years and now I've gone backwards a bit really, to customer services. £8 an hour, 30 hours a week. Ultimately I went to get back into support in a larger firm than before where I have better chances of going into 2nd-line etc.
