Steve m8, you do realise that highlighting the HDD-size you're *really* getting your e-peen out ;) :D

Hahahahahahaaaaa,

I only did it to highlight the difference in mine from the spec above as otherwise it's identical :p

Why did you sell it so soon Carter?
After having a mates old-ish Presario 2500 to play with for a week or two, I'm now thinking of getting my 1st lappy in about a month or so when the price cuts come in, and it's the Inspiron 6400 I was looking at!!!

Weren't ya happy with it for some reason?

The lappy was great tbh, except I want something with a bit more grunt, especially gfx wise, someone I knew wanted one so I offered it them and that was it really.

You can find cartridges that you place a 2.5" hdd in on the bay of e for the laptop dvd drive area, just like you can put 2nd batteries there too. :)

Never heard of or seen one. Must look that up. Isn't a pain not having a DVD especially for a gaming machine?

I hardly use it for games (got my main rig for that), the few games I do play on it don't need a dvd to play the game (nfs:c, ss2, ut, bf2142, source games, sup com)

If I do find I need to use the dvd drive for something I just pull the hdd caddy out and slot in the dvd drive.

Intel 945GM Integrated graphics - runs UT2003 without much of an issue
12.1" Widescreen TFT (1280x800) - I think.

Didn't really need a uber powerful laptop as I don't really use it for gaming (have a gaming pc for that) however I was suprised at how quick it is (apart from copying files to and from the HD which takes an age due to its speed)

Using the laptop as my main system. Now that I've finished uni, I don't spend as much time in front of a PC so I find the laptop ideal and more than powerful for my needs.

... and not much battery life :). Used to be my primary gaming PC, but has now been demoted to mostly work duties.

Fairly basic Dell for work, does what I need it to.

SigmaTel Audio
256mb Nvidia 7800go

Bought off these forums as I don't have access to my desktop machine whilst I'm in Edinburgh, might just get rid of desktop though as the laptop offers better performance than I expected.
Definately wanting to up the hard-disk at some point to around 160gb. Still toying with the idea of upgrading the CPU aswell, I'll see how funds are.
