What's your minimum car spec?

mine is the same as most

xenons
heated seats
nice interior
leather
bose or other
DAB
Estate or 4x4 or at least 5 seats
ideally 250bhp or more or 3.0 litre or above
air con
cruise
auto

200+ hp
Aircon
Some ergonomics in the design between the seat/pedals/steering.

Easy to add pretty much anything else I'd want e.g decent audio.

MOT, Service history, Radio and not French or Korean. :D

Truck wise, Swedish origin, air con, working radio and cruise control.

For my next car:

MOT
Decent service history
Air conditioning / climate control
Cruise control
Nav
DAB
Auto gear box
5 seats
Petrol
Bluetooth / USB / AUX input for music

Would like (though not essential)
Xenon
Leather seats
>200bhp

Air conditioning
Radio and something better than a tape deck for music (CD/BT/AUX etc)
Isofix
More than 3 doors.

Not must haves but it is highly unlikely I would buy a car slower than 12s to 60mph, without rear parking sensors or sat nav. The latter can be worked around with a standalone sat nav but it isn't as good as being integrated into the car.

I think electronic parking brake deserves a mention (particularly if it's a good one). It is one of those things take for granted till you jump in a car without it and miss it.

Specifying '100HP' or '200HP' really doesn't make much sense. A 100HP Panda will be fairly nippy, a 100HP Skoda Superb will be barely able to move. :p

Better to specify actual performance figures ;)

Climate
Central locking
0-60 in under 8 seconds
A ways to connect my phone to the stereo, AUX, Bluetooth, USB i don't mind.

How do you do hill starts etc with a electronic parking brake ?
Or does these cars still also have a standard hand brake ?

Even with my car having hill start assist I still use the handbrake a lot..

You put it in gear, and go. :p

Like with hill start assist. :)

Mine is very basic,

Central Locking
A radio
60 MPG+

This is what my daily driver had, plus cornering lights. I do have a second car which has quite a bit more, however I find none of it essential, such as

Adaptive Cruise
Sat Nov
Auto Lights/Wipers/Rear View
Folding Mirrors with puddle lights
Coming/Leaving home lights
Air Con

Probably miss the Adaptive cruise the most doing 80 miles plus a day.

Comfy
Reliable
Basic CC
A/C
Cruise
Towbar
4x4
Ability to load it with slabs/10 bags of sand/general crap and not care too much

Why?

With my car you:

Stop on a hill, take your foot off the brake, wait till the traffic has cleared and accelerate, simplicity itself.

It works by the car holding the brake pressure on, if the car is sat for more than 5mins then the electronic handbrake comes on.
