Single track country roads isn't fun, the Monaro is too big for them plus 80 miles a day isn't something I want to do it. Mainly the cost and piling on unwanted miles.

I have seen such a drama in a teacup since Ethel and Mildrid had a round of handbags down the bingo hall as a result of Bertie asking Ethel out for a cup of tea....

Doing anything between 40 pootling about town and 60 on a motorway in a Honda insight ES (MK2, 2010). Last 100 days is 48 calculated and 51 on the trip computer.

I'm over the 600 miles hurdle and the fuel light's not on yet...
Needle is hovering over the edge of the red line though so wont be long before it starts flickering. :(
It HAS to last til Friday anyway as I've blown all I did have on PC bits this week, :o
653 to beat....

FuelLog for Android.

Just done a partial fill up on this app £25 (19.24ltr) and it has completely messed up the estimates. Decided to pretend i did i full fill up and it worked out about right again.

To me, this now makes this app absolutely useless. Don't do a full fill ups every time i am at the petrol station.

Err its simple logic - it cannot calculate anything with a partial fill until you subsequently do a full fill up. Once you next fill up to full you'll get the stats back.

There is nothing for it to measure with if it doesnt know how much of the tank is full.

My Almera GTi will get around 25-30mpg

My 520i (auto) will get around 20 - 25mpg

Both mixed driving, mostly a and b roads.

Well I am over the 700 miles to a tank now by a small margin.
All I have to do tomorrow is make it to work and I can fill up when I leave.
Fingers crossed. :D

I would have thought with putting a partial fill up it would estimate what i have done to the full tank i have just used. Wouldn't be hard for them to add tank capacity and a tick box to say you have fueled from a empty tank.

I am simple though :p

My Car -Fiat Punto: approx 48mpg driving about 240miles per week for work (according to my own calculations)

Wife's car - Fiat stilo: 34mpg driving about 8 miles per day (according to the trip computer thingy)

Couldnt be happier with my little work punto tbh, just had 4 new tyres put on for winter and they set me back £160 fitted, its returning about the same mileage as the old diesel astra did, yet costing less to run.

Yes you are :)

Doing that could never be accurate unless you ran it down to the fumes and pushed it into the forecourt.

I use FuelLog. Great little app but it does go wonky temporarily after a partial fill. They would do better to stop recalculating the averages after a partial fill.

If you have suggestions, give the author a message. I have done previously and have found him helpful.

I made it to work, although my backside was making buttons due to getting stuck in accident traffic and having to take a diversion.. Arrggh.

720 miles!!!!!!!
Garage is less than a mile from work tonight.

Last tank was used doing 99% stop/start going to/from work and it was around 34.2mpg.
Current tank has had half used on the m'way, 25% used for stop/start and is currently showing 48mpg.

Clio 1.2 16v, better on fuel than my VTS was.. but not as fun :(
