What's your take on bidets/bum sprays?

Unless they have a check valve to prevent backflow. I wouldn't have a bum gun to be honest, I might look at a bidet adaptor though. One that just sprays cold water, then dry with bog roll I guess? Never given much thought about how to use one to be honest! :D
 
I have an inflammatory bowel disease so go to the toilet way more than the average person.
I've got a toilet seat bidet attachment and it's a life saver.
There's so many comments in this thread that are so off the mark, unless you've used one of these then you really haven't a clue. People saying that it sprays water all over your back and everywhere are completely wrong.
 
I loved using them in SE Asia, however the water was much warmer and you were pretty much instantly dry.
I imagine the cold water coming into my house isn’t much above freezing, which wouldn’t be pleasant.
