What's your usage bills!

Which energy supplier you guys using? Just moved into a new 2 bed mid terrace property and currently using BG on standard tariff. According to Uswitch i would be best off switching with Npower Dual Fuel online 23 saver?

Ignore comparison sites, they are less than useless. Npower you will be charged hefty hefty heft amounts in winter.

You need to spend a lot of time and a spread sheet and preferably have monthly usage details for each month.

Npower charge you lots of expensive units in the winter, pushing your bills up massively.

It isn't just as simple as 5000 units a x rate and anything above that at y rate. They split that number into different moves.
Iw puke not trust energy comparison sites with a barge poll. They do not take enough info of you, or from the tariff. They also include things like powers £200 cash back. But of course you are then stuck in a deal till you get that back. Because without that cash back they are ridiculously expensive.

I signed unto edf fixed rate as soon as Scottish power announced their price rises, since then most other companies have announced price rises.

All my bills are done through DD

Gas £96 per month
Elec £86 per month
Water £35 per month

Those monthly figures include outstanding amounts at the moment.

3 bed semi detached house.

Weird, I've been changed to a different product, without asking, and had my bill reduced to £58/month for both gas and electricity.

£200 water bill, gone up from £136 and it's 9 months instead of the usual six.
Looks i'll be doing monthly payments on that, £26.50

So that's about £50 ish for both water bills a month

Parents is:
Electric: £180
Gas: £120
That's per month! Pretty shocking really! Really need to work out what is using the most energy.

There is 7 of us living here though... And 3 dogs xD

It is an old victorian house without double glazing etc

£70 per month for Gas
£60 per month for Electric
£29 per Month for water Rates

Thats in a 4 bedroom end terrace victorian house, no double glazing and no cavity wall insulation due to the walls having no cavity!

At least 2 people at home most of the day, dryer gets used but the biggest consumption over the month is easily from the 2 plasma's.

What have you all used this winter then?

my daily KW average for electrics been 7 KWh, gas 68KWh, my electrics come down having bought an LED tv but the gas seems to have gone up for me since last winter probably due to my little girl, my house never dropps bellow 18c..

gas/electric bill has been 150pm for the last 2 months

1 adult here in 1-bed house.

Gas/ele, Scottish Power - £72 (shot up from £49 last year :() ...
Water, 7trent Water - £23
ISP, Virgin @ 10mbit - £21
Phone, Orange - Panther 30 plan
No landline.

All on direct debit and all utilities are metered.

Live in a rented flat with my wife in Illinois:

Electric - $63 last month.
No Gas
Water - $20

Seems a lot cheaper than when I was in the UK, especially considering I'm at home all day with TV / Computer on.

Electricity - £40
Gas - £10
Water - £15

All metered and paid for via DD. Single person in a 2 bedroom mid-terrace house. My PC never gets turned off, I have a plasma TV and the oven is electric. Some of your bills are outrageous :-o
