What's your weekly flutter?

Off work at the moment (sick) but I'm due to go back next week but the plan is to quit eventually but get a part time job just to keep me busy still.

When someone in work asked what I'd do if I won the lottery, I replied "go on the sick, claiming stress".

For some reason, that made him really angry.

Photo of gucci belt, please.

Congrats Lee, that's amazing! Can I borrow a tenner?

Maybe you can afford a 4090 now?

I play Euromillions weekly now (used to occasionally do Lotto and Set for Life but knocked those on the head). Would probably buy an extra ticket if it wasn't my normal day if it's a special draw like 20 UK millionaires on the millionaire maker bit of Euromillions.

I have never done the lottery but a syndicate at work won on the euro millions and got 70K each.

We used to have an ad-hoc work syndicate whenever there was a triple rollover or similar big prize, you could buy however many shares for the syndicate as you liked.

One girl used to submit some numbers to the organiser then buy a duplicate ticket with the exact same numbers for herself so that if "her" numbers won then she'd get a massive prize + the share of the syndicate winnings. :D

Congrats on the win. Looking at the screen must have required a double and triple take I imagine.

If inflation is an average of 5.1% per year and the living wage tracks inflation, then your winnings should be above the living wage take home for around 20 years. I hope you invest well and get to spin that out indefinitely. Not to mention health rejuvenation tech that might be available in 30 years time :)

Well done on the win, was wondering do they give you an option for a yearly lump sum or is is strictly 10k per month?

I'm sure it's strictly 10k per month and it's paid via an annuity provider and not directly from Camelot apart from the first payment. Although if I peg it the remaining balance gets paid into my estate as a lump sum.. apparently. :D

Congrats @LeeUK

We enter the same thing but not been so lucky, nice to see someone actually wins these things though.

I used to do the horses a lot, love going to the flat meets but not done either of those things for years now.

Holy ****!

3.6 million over 30 years.

Incredible, congrats Lee!

Be prepared for pretend close friends to come out the woodwork if they find out.

Arguably it's even more over those years assuming it's spent wisely and chunks are invested wisely too - Pretty easy to become a millionaire after a few years when you know you have 10k coming in every month tax free no matter what.

But yeah regardless of any size of win, you'd just have to keep yourself busy - Luckily for most of us here we have at least one common interest, and @Gibbo is always happy to sell us the latest :p

Personally I'd do a random ocuk forum giveaway every now and then just for the community factor lol. Like the shop admin can randomly pick a member and they can choose any one item.

Either way, what an opportnity to do some amazing things.

@LeeUK I think one month you need to just buy something crazy silly for the images of items purchased thread ;)

^^^^ this, or perhaps a big haul, Gadget show style. :D

Like a mix of OCUK computer goodies, the latest games consoles, TVs etc.. so if you're planning on splurging on new tech then a massive haul of it could be a fun update.
