How would the name have any bearing on how hackable the wifi is? :confused:

Mine is my last name backwards. Makes a decent random word that is recognisable, but not guessable.

There are two major parts to converting a password value to a decryption key. The first is called salting. It's possible you've heard this term used once or twice. This is a method in cryptography that prevents two systems from using the same key, even though they may share the same password. Using non unique SSID's is generally bad practice, especially if combined with short, Low entropy/non random pre shared keys. While we're at it I'd avoid using a SSID that identifies the make/model of router.

That said "Abraham Linksys" is more fun than "8RP8c<&/z7'23bz80D2{" :)
 
Currently using my surname with my year of birth and some other numbers, this thread has some belters though!

Mine is Ankh. All of my devices and wifi networks use names from the Freespace 2 ship database. Laptop is called Mara, Chromecast Ultra is called Hele etc.
