When are you going fully electric?

Yeah VZ in Cupra terms

As @Kenai mentioned you can probably test drive a ID4 GTX or Enyaq VRS now if you want to know how it will drive though as it will be the same underneath. It's not going to be that exciting

Isn't the vRS version of the Tavascan the Enyaq Coupe vRS that already exists? Both of which are derived from the ID4/5?
Yeah my bad, looked at so many cars, I was also looking at the Skoda Elroq so got the two mixed up. The V2 Cupra suits my needs.
I've driven a Enyac coupe, but it was the 80 version so too slow.

I've got my eyes on two currently, one being the Cupra Tavascan and will test drive this early next. Hopefully the VRS version will be out soon and this government gives us some proper financial incentive to change.

The VZ is not worth it. It’s about 1s faster to 60, at the expense of cost, range and 100kg. I assume the Enyaq vRS is the same.

The standard V is quick enough IMO and that’s coming from an over 300hp ICE.

Gotcha, that's why the v2 fits my bill.
I'm coming from a over 300ps ice as well, pcp on that is up in may which is why I'm sniffing around other vehicles...

Anyone else on Intelligent Octopus Go, could you answer this for me?...

I've plugged my car in tonight with a target of 80% by the morning. It needs nearly 60kwh which the 7kw charger can't provide in the normal 6 hour off peak window. iOG has scheduled the charging from 8pm so it can meet the target.

Will this always happen or have I been lucky? Will it ever not reach my 80% target by only scheduling me in the normal hours?

Normal. As long as there is enough time to charge the car between the time you plug in and the time you need the car by, it will charge it and all of your electricity when during the scheduled hours is 7p regardless of whether than is in the 6 hour period when it is always cheap or not.

This.

That’s why I love it. Just plug it in and Octopus will let you know the smart charge schedule and it’ll be charged for when you use it next and at the 7p rate. Simple, it just works.

It'll give you 7p slots when and where it can, very rarely in non-peak hours do you not get a slot. He's a nice example of what it looks like when you get mixed slots.

Took delivery of my Model Y this afternoon on the Octopus SS scheme. Arrived with 25% charge so headed in to town to take advantage of my first free supercharge :)

20 mile round trip to do so however its non-sensical not to take advantage of the 1 year free offer, even if it does only save a few hundred quid.

You’ll soon get bored of that, my nearest supercharger* will be a 10 min walk up the road once it’s powered up and I wouldn’t bother. It’s just not worth the time and effort to save £3-£4 a week.

*EV on the move site but you still get free supercharging at them, for now anyway.

Adaptive Cruise Control - best invention ever.

Personally I rarely use cruise control or a speed limiter - though I wish more people would LOL - far too many who can't keep to a constant or appropriate speed where appropriate. Probably partly due to the sheer amount of hours I've spent playing video games I can sustain very high up times on stuff like this.

The thing I find tires me out the most is dealing with other driver's BS - doing distance itself doesn't unduly tire me or bore me.

I have adaptive cruise now on the new mg5 and it's good on open roads but not smart enough to drive well on busy motorways. If a car pulls in in front of me it pulls back too hard instead of slowly adjusting to form a new gap. If I change lanes to overtake it is slow to react and doesn't step up to the higher speed until I'm fully in the new lane. Tldr it's anticipation of the future is poor resulting in a jerky drive.

Have you tried it in other driving modes (assuming you have them)?
Previous cars we've had with ACC have been fine (except the Ovlov, but it's 14 years old!), but the Tavvy is slow to accelerate in range mode, for obvious reasons, but other modes are fine.
