When are you going fully electric?

Noticed last week, that the Exeter services has been earmarked for a further upgrade prior to the summer holiday season, there will be a total of 39 chargers there, from both Gridserve (25) and Tesla (at least 11). That has got to be the biggest hub/services install once completed in the UK. I wonder if any where else with get more?

So, servicing costs for EVs...

Vauxhall want £239 for the first main service. That seems ridiculous for what is essentially a cursory glance over fluid levels and maybe a pollen filter. The service plan brings it down to £180, which still seems steep.

Is this the going rate for EV services? And has anybody gone to an independent for their services whilst the car is still under warranty?

£59 for mine. Hyundai

It is literally the OEM service interval. What do you know more than them about brake fluid life ? Amazing

Oh and nothing to do about use. Rather the life of a fluid which absorbs water but doesn’t want water in it

A) I never said I know more
B) I don't disagree its in their service schedule.
C) In reality most people test it for contamination and leave it if its still in spec, epically once its out of warranty. At the end of the day replacing perfectly good brake fluid is a waste of time, resources and money. If you look across manufactures the schedule varies significantly from test every 2 years and replace as needed to you must replace it every 2 years, others are 3 years and so on.

As its still under the initial 3 year warranty, I'd just do it, but I wouldn't bother in year 4 unless it actually needed it.

Perhaps you might want to post more constructively in future :)
