When do you leave work? (Poll?)

I finish work at 5.30. I usually hang around a few minutes, using the internet, in an attempt to look like I don't run out the door at 5.30. Some people in the office work late in the evening even though they don't get paid overtime, obviously trying to impress.

(and if a don would be kind enough to turn this into a poll :) )

When do you go home?

Shortly after Lunchtime
Computer off, jacket on, ready to run out the door
When the job's done
I stay overnight
 
When i worked last summer it was a normal 9-5 job. But sometimes deliveries would get delayed so we had like 2 weeks where we'd go in to find out if the delivery had been made. They hadn't. So we sat and watched a film on the big projector and then left for home an hour and a half later :D Still got payed a full days wage too.

Worked a little overtime a few nights, got paid for that too. Best job i'll ever have i tell you.
 
Just after 5 usually (5pm is when I officially finish) but if I'm still serving a customer then it's till they've gone so 5.15ish usually.
I don't mind though if I make decent commission on them. :)

9-5... why couldn't I have a job like that?
I work 9-5.30. It's not a huge difference but it still eats away at my evening!
Ideally I'd work a 4 day week from 8-4.30, with half an hour for lunch. That would equal 85% of the hours I currently work. I'd be willing to take a 15% paycut any day if some one offered me a job with those hours!

I'm part time and I don't even work 9 to 5 :p
Student life for you ;) Although I'd much prefer full time work there.
 
8 - 4:30 Mon to Thurs
8 - 3:30 Fri

I'm ready to leave on the dot! :D

The job sucks, but at least the hours are ok. I'd rather start at 9 though.
 
I normally work to the end of the shift (1400, 2200 or 0700) but it's usually when the Group Supervisor or the Watch Manager tells me to FO :D
I haven't worked a complete shift this cycle AND I'm off until Sunday morning, it's great :D
 
i pretty much keep my own hours :) tis great. Just do the 8hrs then go do something else, unless its getting manic and near to the deadline at which point i almost don't stop, bar 2/3 hours sleep
 
4...ish

I work flexitime though, so I can leave anywhere between half 3 and 7. But I've got sod all to do atm, so why stay beyond 4 (when everyone else leaves) :p
 
Officially I finish at 5.30 but don't tend to leave until about 5.35 and sometimes stay till about 6pm

Sometimes I leave early , left today at about 5.15 so I could pick my car up

I have an hour lunch but often work through it .. I'm in early every Monday morning ( unpaid ) for a meeting but my employers treat me so well I am more than happy to put in extra hours :)
 
Paid till 5.15pm but normally leave between 5.30 and 6.00. Anything past that I would claim OT for :)
 
When I get bored, which is usually quite early on these days :D

My company though and I'm not really wanted or needed there any more :( hehe
