When the Gpu's prices will go down ?

With the performance being lower and prices being higher this gen would using DLSS not bridge the gap of performance Vs price of the last gen?
I don't have DLSS or FSR capable card so I don't know what it's like to use Vs native.

Don't buy into that nonsense!

Obviously Nvidia would like stagnated actual performance and offer DLSS 3.0, 4.0 etc. giving you fake frames and upscaling. But who would really to pay extra for fakery?

As for the earlier comments about the 4070 Ti giving 3099 performance: only while VRAM lasts! 12GB is pretty low in 2023!

DLSS is a nice feature to have but it’s should be seen as an optional extra since FG is only in less than 1% of games so it’s not something justify higher pricing and also if you rely on software solutions for fps then you’re at the mercy of Nvidia who can pull the plug or discontinue it in the future in favour of something else rendering your gpu a potato.

I kinda wish AMD would troll people and release a "fake" FSR3 where in reality is just a slightly optimized FSR2 with the card spitting out framerate*1+(rand 0-2), how many people would notice the difference?
I subscribe to Jarred Walton's opinion: regardless of the frame number, DLSS3 fells 10-20% smoother at best.

Hi there

So the bad news, AMD is ending our sell out rebate on the 7900 XT. :(
The good news is they have given us additional support for upto end of this month, as such I've gone as aggressive as I can, primarily focusing on the Sapphire parts as I have 400 units of those, we hope to shift them all by this weekend and with the sell out incentive ending I don't see them been this cheap again:

So £729 for an MBA and £749 for a custom, this is cheaper than anywhere else in the UK and way way below the MSRP.

I reserve the right to increase the price at any time, so don't think, just buy, it really is a good deal! :)

For those who want an XTX, there is no sell out rebate so this price is pretty much where it will stay somewhat give it take £20-30 but XTX is now £949 too:

And the best XTX card on the market now only £1058.99, the King, the Nitro:

Also 3060 12GB is now in stock from £259.99, a very fair price and very strong performer in 1080P and 1440P:

Have you played yourself with FG or is it just internet 2nd hand opinion?

In my experience, for a 60hz gamer, it can be about the same as native fps IF the game is coded right and hw is strong enough or thereabouts.

Never!

What's a reasonable used price for a 3090 or 3090TI? Have prices dropped much or likely to significantly drop anytime soon?

No way you are getting a 3090Ti for 4xx. There might be the odd exception but it’s still a high end card, albeit one beaten by more mid range current offerings. I would expect to pay £500-£600 for a 3090Ti and £450-£500 for a 3090. That seems a bit more reasonable. Of course, if you can get them cheaper…

are 4080's likely to get under £1000 anytime soon? I bought a 4070ti but it was cancelled and re-listed at a higher price(scummy). Only way I can justify £1000 and no more is I sold my 3060ti for £250 so it will take it down to £750.

With the 3080 already struggling at 4k I don't want to get to a position where next year the 4080 does too as I want to keep the card for at least 3 - 4 years and only use a 4k tv now that does not support 1440p.

The reporting on that piece of "data" is insane.

A redditor plotted the spot price of gddr6 Vs. time.

What people don't realise is, the spot market is waaaayyy more expensive than direct to supplier. Like, I've seems decent chunks of silicon go from £10 on the spot market to £1 via allocation...

One thing is that you generally get allocation at a set price 6 to 12 months before delivery, so you can get a lag in pricing. However, there's NV and their partners will definitely regotiate allocations at least 3 to 4 times a year with suppliers.
