when was the class system removed?

why is it a shame seems perfectly sensible to me

I thank Stalin may have lied when he did the test, there's no way he was that economically liberal, I mean his population didn't exactly share the wealth did they? He mostly kept it for him and his mates.

I think you're somewhat confused about the positions within the text.

Left wing - right wing refer to economics, going from total state control of the economy on the left at -10 to total economic freedom on the right at +10.

The social aspect goes from -10 to +10 depending on how much you believe the state should control the social aspects of society.

Stalin is well into minus figures on the scale because his state controlled the economy, in other words the government controlled the money, which fits in exactly with what you have said, and what you have posted in support of.

In a free economy, individuals are free to make money and the economy is managed by individuals, not by the state.

uh ok then I am confused then but I like it that way

edit: ok read your comment again and yes you are correct but I think Stalin's motivations were different to mine.

I probably am in favour of nationalisation or certainly state investment in some industries but primarily to ensure long term prosperity and that the national interest is served.

I'm still much closer to Gandhi than anyone else and he was lovely and nice.

you lot all want freemarket economics with freedom in society, which is fair enough I guess, if you trust the free market to go the right way. Which the banking system didn't and if you trust people not to behave badly.

motivations are somewhat different, you ask most people what motivates their view and they'll all say they want to help people (even those who are rabidly anti-freedom).

For me, I cannot reconcile state control of money with individual freedom, unless goods are limitless, but each to their own.

It's also worth noting that banking did not operate in anything approaching a free market, it was tightly state controlled, just not effectively so, which served to remove the market restrictions on behaviour without replacing them through the creation of moral hazard.

edit: so compared to me all rightwingers are sociopaths and socialist politicians are right wingers

Why do you keep associating being right wing with being a sociopath? There's a definition and scale which is required for the term - some right wing, some left wing people and some who are more centerist will exhibit the relevant characteristics.

Stalin didn't take the test, it wasn't even imagined when he was in power. It's based on the policies he pursued while in power and what they makers of the test have interpreted his policies to be.

You're the person who's misusing terms here. I'm asking why you keep using the term sociopath incorrectly - if you don't understand it fully then I'd suggest you have a read up on it to make sure that you do for future use.

As for my second paragraph, I'm simply correcting the idea that Stalin could have taken the test and lied about his policies - his position on the scale is taken from the policies that he actually pursued while in power.
