Where are you getting your Turkeys?

Picked up a "perfect turkey" from M&S this year. Let's hope it lives up to it's name. Would have rib of beef myself, saw a lovely one down Tesco but I'll see if I can get a bargain/reduced one Christmas eve for new year.

M&S I did see a few turkeys labelled 'defrosted' which I thought was a little dodgy

Kept it simple, turkey crown from the local butchers. I'm always in 2 minds about turkey, its actually tasty & the combined nostalgia is always fun. But there are better options available for the big day.....actually thinking about it, may sneak some beef onto the table

M&S pigs in blankets, over a fiver for a pack(!) and charging £42 for a Ham, when you can buy (the same) for £12 from other supermarkets. M&S is exclusive, but then...

Last night for me, shopping was crazy, super busy, seemingly showed that there was no cost of living happening.

Picked up our turkey crown from the local butchers this morning.

Gone rogue this year too and we are having Xmas Dinner on Xmas Eve ( tomorrow). Full on buffet on Xmas day instead.

Turkey is lovely when cooked well, only people who overcook it say it is bad ;)

I've had turkey prepared by people who really know how to cook, and turn out some amazing meals, and their Turkey has only ever been bland - I'm yet to have a turkey which lives up to the hype.

The two statements are somewhat contradictory, use a quality bird and it should never be bland.
