Where is my mojo?

SCHTOP !

I've just gone to link up a 996 GT3 RS (those beautiful white ones with either blue or red detailing) ...

When did the DOUBLE in price to nearly £120,000 ... ?!

I'm sure these used to be rock solid at £50-60,000 ..... There goes that dream car ever getting within reach :(

I want a Gen 2 997 GT3 or RS ideal world but we are 95k up and thats mad money.

I didn't realise he was only looking for brand new cars. I couldn't find any in the UK and I'm sure, if he really wanted to, he probably could double his budget.

Plus it obviously wasn't a very serious suggestion but I'm sure you knew that already - besides, the thread is about fixing his mojo, I'm sure an LFA would do that.

Before you ask, no I haven't driven one, and no, I don't drive a super car as a daily driver and I can't comment on the quality of the winder screen wiper stalk of the LFA.

Ive not no, but a friend of mine has who has one of the finest collections i know of has and he puts it up there at the very top. Engine is out of this world im told and it takes a different approach to most in that its not all about bhp

Don't sweat it surely? Just keeping saving up cash whilst driving your normal car, and I'm sure you'll get the itch sooner rather than later.

Or maybe,

Champagne tastes, beer money. ;)

What happened to your MX5 racing, did it not give you the same enjoyment?

Time and motivation really for a whole raft of reasons I shan't bore you with. Plan is to do more but pick and chose rather than try for a season and do it differently this time.

The ma5da series is no more is it not, the organiser/promoter got greedy and lots of people ended up unhappy at how some of the funds were, err, distributed...someone even went to jail from what I've been told?

BRSCC have almost started over and run the series themselves as the 'supercup' (separate calendar for mk1 and mk3 now) and it seems more popular than ever this year despite the fallout from the mazda series. Faster and more competitive than Max5 too.

Not more competitive, at it's peak Ma5da Mk1 it could be argued was the most competitive series in the UK, it took 3 of the 10 drivers of the year awards in Autosport at its peak but it is finished now. Lots of rumours and noise, I didn't stay close to it so can't comment but not sure jail played a part for anyone?

Endurance racing with a different spec is what appeals more, racing with a couple of mates, same car etc. I need to be able to dip in and out I can't commit to a full series.

Understandable that you don't want a bike for the road but how about a motorbike and track days, you'll never feel more alive than on 2 wheels and on track.

Too old for a bike having never ridden one. I know how to drive and drive safely at pace. On a bike I'm not sure I'd survive the road test :)
