without knowing the building I'm in, answer this riddle

My feet are on the floor, there are no stairs or lifts
If there are no floors, what are my feet on

how many floors do I have?

Whilst we all realise that, that doesn't mean it's the right or most logical way to do it.

I think there are some here that are free thinkers, and some too set in their ways.

Quite possibly but it will take a lot to change the building industry :D

People are getting too hung up on floors anyways, think of it as first floor above ground level etc... ;) that's the way it is on plans.

It's not always the way. At work I walk straight through the door which is ground level. There is no elevation whatsoever.

Are we discussing how many layers there are in a building, or what they are called?

What they should be called.

Your riddle is basically 2+2=5.

Or similarly put:

I'm in a car, but not in a car, how many cars are there?

Trick question. You are sitting outside. You don't have a building, stop lying to us all.

I don't understand what you are getting at? If you walk straight through the door at ground level with no elevation then you work on ground or 0 any elevation above that would be 1 and below -1?
