Do you mean they refused you a citizenship or just a visa? In either case get yourself a bunac visa for 1 year, this will let you get your foot in the door with a company over there. Once there and the company likes you get them to apply for a labour market opinion (it takes about 2-6months to process) then you can apply for a new 3 year work visa (not an extension though but a full work visa!!). Once you've been there for over 3years without hitch then citizenship is a few forms away (+medicals and interviews).

As for where I'd emigrate to? Two options - Southern France (Perpignan area) or Canada (Vancouver Island).
Both are places that I really like, full of decent people, good food and some epic driving roads.
