Where would you emigrate to?

I'm 23 and I think I'd move if I got the chance. Currently working as a novice medical coder, and there is a huge demand for them in places like Australia and NZ.

I wouldn't move out on my own though. Not brave enough :p ...maybe in the future.

But I must admit I'm not excited about my future in this country. Everything is just way too exspensive and the only real way to gain independance away from the family web and to move to a nice area and pleasent place- is to get a wife (Extra income) and a morgage and be in dept the rest of our lives, never being able to afford anything nice.

I'm also a qualified Tennis Coach and I can't even afford a membership to the local David Lloyds. The local courts are now taken over and ruined by yobs. Everything else is too far away.

I'm sick of waking up and looking at a grey sky then traveling to work with other miserable people. My area in Liverpool used to be really nice, with lots of great people and a close community. Now its just went down the pot-hole, with the council banging up new small houses and bringing in the scum from other areas. The police? An utter joke.

If I had a choice I'd like to move somewhere with a different culture. Obviously every place in the world has its pro and cons, but am I willing to keep living in a place like this which seems to be getting worse and worse?

I listen to the MPs ideals and goals and it makes me laugh. Posh little boys brought up in private areas which have never before seen problems, they get the best educations and no worries and feel obliged to lead the country.

Now go and listen to the Australian MPs... they are people with the right views and they're not afraid of making decisions, unlike our lot.

So if I was ever granted an oppurtunity to move I'd take it instantly. Maybe one day, if I meet a like minded girl, then we'll go. But in todays Britain life just feels like prison.

new zealand

fun people good weather and there lacking in people with IT qualifications so a well paid job

That is what I hear and I am hoping for, the wife already has a job waiting out there, it will be up to me to find one asap on arrival...

Amsterdam would be ideal tbh.
Its a great city, really laid back and relaxing. Easy/quick for getting back to the UK.

Tokyo would be perfect, if it wasnt for the fact that the 11-13hour flights drive me up the wall! :p.

Holland for me:) (shame I don't speak Dutch tho lol, can't be easy to learn either!) Not in Amsterdam tho, maybe just outside

The programme with Julia Sawahlia that sends a couple to Aus or NZ for a week with 3 houses to view & a day at the breadwinners job resulted in quite a few wanting to return to UK, Aus & NZ -cost of living higher, wages lower, houses cheaper however but rising fast.
Myself I would like to live in Cyprus or Malta, little Englands in some ways but with nice weather & cheaper living ( still got UK post & telephone boxes ):D

comments like this always make me laugh!

Sure, NZ is a nice place, a very nice place, it has great scenery, as does the UK! I doubt you'd find a single view in NZ that isn't the same as a view from the UK.

Not sure about it being like the UK 30 years ago, 30 years ago was the UK full of organised crime and illegal drugs and people trafficking? OK, it probably was actually, you win! That goes for the 2 'citys' anyway, the rest of the country is so quiet it;s only suitable for retiring to, not emigrating!

My choice is Asutralia or Canada, or NZ -When I'm old!

Have you been to New Zealand? I'm afraid that the UK does not even come close to rating on a scenery scale next to NZ. I went home during Jan and realised just how beautiful the country is, I'm sorry but the UK doesn't have a patch on NZ. To find half the views in NZ you'd have to travel the length and breadth of Europe because you aren't going to find them here.

I'm considering Melbourne Australia as a place to eventually settle - beautiful, warm and a fantastic city.

I would emmigrate to the UK as I can sit on my ass and sponge lots of benefits and I will have lots of children so I get more free money. I will also get a free house.

On a serious note i would go to the usa or canada:)

Going to have to agree with you there. The scenery on South Island is stunning, so much so I have a 60"x15" canvas print of a stitched panoramic of the Remarkables on my living room wall. Not to mention I don't recall seeing any active volcanoes or geothermal areas in the UK recently...

I've just got with someone that had been accepted to go to Aus but she isn't now as she has a new job. Crazy women! I'd jump at the chance. Maybe it's because of me instead lol.
