Which 1400cc ?

me I'd look at the renault 5 gt turbo, they're only a 1400 iirc :)

Alternatively a corsa sport (first models) 1.4 16v should be good for about 130bhp+ with a ecu remap, potent little motors in corsa's, better than the larger ones when you take capacity in to consideration.

I take it you didn't actually read much of the thread then? :D

A good cheat is on a k series 1.4, put in a pair of VVC exhaust cams FTW:p We have had 127 rolling roaded BHP at 7500rpm and still climbing from a zr105.

Well I have had a drive in a rover 25, car felt 'clumsy' and heavy, although it's probably not. Handling ok ish, driving position not too bad, power prettey good. I think with a pipe in my mouth and a flat cap, we'd get on well together ;)
Also jumped in my pals 106 and did a circuit of a rally stage we have for prac. Again, as before I feel too big for the car (Im only 6ft 1) it all feels small and cramped and unsafe, perhaps it's a psychological thing... Very twitchy handling, which I don't mind, still prefer the 206 though.
Did have one more thought about a car, a puma sprang to mind, nearly bought one a few months ago and they're ok, pretty good fun.

Really thinking about just converting my Corsa back (remove hydro handbrake/sccr box etc for the endurance events) and just using that. Took me over a year to build this and I'm starting to ask myself if I 'really' want to build another... Gah!
