You'll be wasting RAM for one but in light of the fact you can't get it to boot, you may not have another option.

1) I think the setup will ask if you want to repartition, but I'm not sure from an upgrade.
2) Yes but it will mean a complete wipe and start again.

if i install the 32bit in windows i can then install the 64 after (with wipe out) and this 64 can be done in windows ( as i cant do it from boot up)?
will it not give me error that i get now trying to install 64 in windows "cannot install 64 with win32XP.
thanks burnsy again
..
(This wasnt a very useful post with Burnsy's above)
oh yeah.. sorry.
wrote it out and saw it wasnt at all useful after burnsy had posted, so i edited it out

You must boot from the 64bit DVD, there is no other way. Do you have a phone where you can record video? It'd be useful to see exactly what you're doing.
Also, have you tried resetting the bios and then trying to get into the BIOS setup with the PS/2 keyboard?

Try the BIOS reset first, it'll clear any overclocks you have but otherwise won't affect the system.
ok how do i reset the bios? ps no overclocks..

PS save me shutting down every 5 mins can i acess bios thriugh win? prob not am guessing
No you can't.

Does the drive spin up as it attempts to boot? Are you prompted to press any key to boot from CD/DVD? Are you indeed pressing any key when that happens?
It doesn't matter, your motherboard just has to support 64bit CPUs, which obviously it does because that's what you're using.
