Which banks have UK call centres?

First Direct do have some Indian Call centres. However that was only when they were phoning me up to confirm a payment. When I've called them its been a UK call centre.

I'm with both Natwest and First Direct, and always speak to someone from the UK when I phone either of them.

Had a particularly fantastic service from someone on the Natwest customer care team who actually returned my call when asked to and gave me her direct dial number, a nice personal touch that often seems lacking.

Wrong. First Direct are based at 40 Wakefield Road, Leeds and also use Hamilton CSC as part of the HSBC group. There are one or two reps who don't have an English accent but they are in Leeds (I work for the Group).

As a side-note, HSBC are transferring the vast majority of their Customr Service Centres to UK-based operatives and opening a e new call centre in Malta.

a vote here for Royal bank of Scotland. Anytime I phone I can speak to my branch. This is often the same person who actually will serve me should i actually go in to my bank.
