Which email provider do you use?

Because I like life to be difficult, and in my mid life crisis, I am back to running my own mail server on OpenBSD with mutt as my client.
This seems like massive effort :D I looked into it last year when I went on a Linux & self-hosting learning spree, and basically everything I found online said not to bother self hosting mail :D

As for OP - Gmail since I got on the beta in 2004/2005, managed to snap a firstname.lastname address :D

You'd be pretty hard done by to find anyone with their salt doing Exchange on prem either.

Other than initial setup, as long as you're on a provider that doesn't get blacklisted it doesn't have to be super difficult. I don't send/receive a huge amount of emails.

Spam solution?

rspamd, the stack is: pf, opensmtpd, dovecot, httpd, acme-client etc.

Yeah, sadly - I come from an Email Admin background which is why I still enjoy it, most people would hate running it on prem again.

I wouldn't recommend it for 99% of people, I probably wouldn't even recommend it for myself, but as I say it's something I enjoy.

OK I concede :D lol.

Just having PTSD from my SOHO days of on-prem exchanges installed by charlatans.

Um when did this come in?

Make sure you’re correct before you respond.

Mate. Search here looks at the subject lines only.

Not the body of the email that is what you want to search all of the time.

You understand the point of protonmail right and the limitation that technically brings to the client, hence why there is no search?

What am I missing? Is there a tick box to decrypt all my messages for search? Sounds expensive.

Definitely a sense of humour.
