Which embarrassing clothes were you forced to wear as a child? (pre teens)

Did anyone else wear one of those blue Anoraks with the orange lining and furry hood?
Were you forced to wear cords?
Were you forced to wear a shell track suit as your mum got it cheap? (I was told to iron the bottoms and melted them, awww it was a shame)

Anyone remember that brown leather satchel we got going to primary school?

No not a chav so never had a shell suit.

Cords came in and out of fashion many times more so the jumbo cords.

Everybody wore shell suits at the time, they were the height of coolness, it's only now you look back and cringe. There's a Bullseye episode with a middle aged bloke in full shell suit regalia, it'll have seemed like a good idea at the time.

I had an England one.

Yes I had a matching shell suit and bought from merthyr Tydfil market, green and blue diagonal slash pattern, I got caught on a bramble and ripped them revealing the white inside lining.
I also had a satchel, but my mum thought it would be cool to give me her old school one when everyone was just getting into rucksacks. After massive ridicule she gave me a briefcase.....

People from school still call me briefcase boy 30 years later

People **** on brands like this until they become cool again. I remember Champion being bottom of the barrel not long ago and it's now considered one of the 'cool' brands again. Gola's might make a comeback yet .

Well they looked horrific and went up like a bushfire if set alight, so yeah, they were awful.
