Which game would you defend to the death?

Mine would have to be Bioshock. I know there is not much love for it on here for some reason. But i think it is probably my favourite game ever, and i do not get how someone couldn't like it:)

Because it's boring and isn't System Shock. And Shodan would kick the crap out of Ayn Rand in a fight.

Ultima Online & Zelda on the snes.

UO remains by far my favourite game of all time and its a great shame that gaming has moved in such a direction that nothing of that ilk will ever gain much popularity again.

The only game I'm fanatic enough about to defend is Morrowind. Although I probably spent more time playing EVE Online and The Legend of Mir 2, Morrowind comes close to both in terms of longevity, which is amazing considering it's not an MMO. I had high expectations for Oblivion, and was sorely disappointed when it turned out to be a "Fisher Price: My First RPG".

hrmm games i would defend to the death prolly none but there a few whose legend status is without question and its heresy to speak ill of.

Deus Ex

Elite

Arcanum (might fire this up again)

BF2142 (mebbe)

Omikron: The Nomad Soul (revolutionary at the time i reckon)

Was gonna put planescape/baldurs gate etc but the screen flipping was slightly annoying. Its why i preferred Arcanum (in some respects) no screen flipping just one big super giant world.

It's an RPG from a previous generation (although the person who made the video didnt use the highest gfx settings), and I guess you'd need some interest in the subject matter for the conversation to make sense.

Indeed - I've played the game several times but never gotten that particular conversation. I sat through the whole thing enthralled :D
