Which "Hot Hatch"?

Are you honestly living life to your fullest?
Do you not have mates who have moved out?

Right now for example I am at a mates house with four others (including Aero!) waiting for another six to turn up warming up for the England game.

We would not be doing this if said person lived at their parents house.

Hi Mate

I dont think living at home hinders that for me :)

Plenty of mates who are renting there own gaff with another mate or missus and most of them can just about afford the house and bills :p

Sure but i can just go to a mates house and do the same ... Im not bothered about not being able to have people around my gaff saves me having to tidy up after them ;)

Im going to have my own house in the future for a very long time (hopefully) so im really in no rush .... Sure it has its up's but it also has a lot of downs and at the moment and for the next few years im staying put !!!

Sam

I first moved out of home at 17 years old, I had a few short stints back at home when I was in between jobs or houses, and I was self-supporting at home 99% of the time from about 15-16 due to my mother pretty much living at her partners.

I'm slightly annoyed at those talking about growing up and doing adult things by moving out, as well as slating having your parents doing everything for you, this is a luxury I haven't had since I was at school, so hypothesizing about living back at home and living the 'high life' that is a LOT of disposable income is nothing I'm ashamed of. If you are hindered by living at home, then either your relationship with your parents sucks, or it is simply too small.

Thanks.

Put simply I can only see the benefit of living at home as purely financial, nothing else is a plus, mainly as I would ask nothing from my parents, they did their job when I became an adult.

Sam, in another thread you said about sending me a mail but my trust thingy wasn't setup correctly, it should be disco now. Moff to shout loudly at the soccer now!

Like I said, everyones experiences are different. I know some people who have their parents do everything for them and I have similar thoughts to you on this. I don't, I pay rent, I pay bills for services I want and I cook my own meals, do my own washing, blah blah blah.

Surely everyone who lives at home does at least some of this stuff

Mine can run their own bath i think, still on the upside it gives their mother something to do :)

I guess you could say its financial but it's going to be decades before I can enjoy living somewhere like I do now again. I enjoy it here.

With the space you have there you might as well make hay while the sun shines and get a couple of rental properties under your belt before you bother to buy yourself one.

I don't cook or do the washing :o

But I do a heck of a lot of other stuff around the house and for the family :)

CTR :)

I was in the same boat as you, scirocco/CTR and the leon. Drove them all, the CTR doesn't have the best build quality out of those three (its by no means bad) but... when I put my foot down on the 'test' drive for the first time I just fell in love and had a smile from ear to ear, neither of the other cars did that :)

This was my feeling! - for the fokes who say "the OP doesn't know what car he wants" - I have tried all the cars in the bracket and these are the three I liked the most when driven. I don't like the Golf END OF, its dull, there I said it!

I don't want a 3 year old car as someone has sat in the seat or that amount of time - and if my last few cars are anything to go by it is noticeable - also how has it been driven for the last few years given its a hot hatch, and even I plan to trash it!

Also the reason I'm living at home, not sure why this came into it, is because my employer pays for 70% of my travel costs to London - currently looking for a place with a mate locally.

They're like chalk and cheese! The air vents are a slightly different shape for a start

The interior is virtually identical and the same seat options are available on both cars?

When you sit in them they feel VERY different - yes I will give you the buttons etc. are the same as any VW car

Hardly Chalk and cheese, more like camembert and brie.

They are essentially the same with little more than a very few minor cosmetic changes!
