Which "Hot Hatch"?

I know but it does mean you have to be very quiet when you get back from a night out, can't bring back slappers for loud sex, can't sit around naked playing Nintendo, aren't in charge of the living room TV, can't leave car bits all over your garage, etc.

Obviously it depends partially on the relationship you have with your parents, but I wouldn't like to risk playing BFBC2 in my birthday suit with some porn on in the background!

I think thats a very blanket statement. It entirely depends on your personal circumstances. I am lucky enough to live in a place where I pretty have my own self contained area - seperate bedroom, my own living room, etc etc. As a result if I wanted to become a hermit and not see or speak to anyone for days it would be entirely possible, and if playing video games naked was what did it for me (Hey I'm not judging you for that!) then that'd be fine as well.

The garage is full of BMW bits, tyres and Meguiars cleaning products.

When I move out it'll be because I want to move in with my girlfriend rather than to gain freedom or anything like that. Like I said, it depends on your circumstances. I'm not neive enough to think the same circumstances apply to everyone - if I lived somewhere different and had to share all my living spaces and only had a bedroom in which to spend my own time I'd probably have a completely different opinion and would have done something about it long ago!

And lets face it, you cant bring slappers home either, as your wife would be very upset ;)

No matter how much you convince yourself, you can never be entirely your own man whilst living at home.

I did all of this when I lived at home - my Mother is a push over though :D

Sums it up nicely Mike :D

@Robbie:

- Not that quiet if I get back or just go into the play/family room (not parents living room) at the other end of the house.
- Bringing back slappers for loud sex.... I have a gf, and if I was single I would go back to theirs.
- Don't have a nintendo, silly kids console, but anyway PS3 console in family room with my whole av setup + sky HD
- As above, separate living room with my equipment in so always in charge of tv.
- Car bits all over garage as well as my dads car bits everywhere.

So you are completely on your own there with a random load of scenarios which are not generally applicable to anyone really.

Enough off topic now ;)

Yup, they don't like you doing that ;) Also still not in charge of the TV, got to be quiet coming in late at night etc etc :p

WHAT ABOUT THE GUYS THAT ARE SINGLE OR AT LEAST NOT COHABITING?!?!?!

my Mother is a push over though :D

I know :D.

Not really. I'm not for one moment claiming that it applies to every single male living at home, least of all the privileged ones such as yourself that can simply inhabit the guest annexe.

That is true, but in your student days did you not get up to things in halls / student digs that you would not have been able to do whilst living at home? Some of my friends have carried on this lifestyle well after they've left university!

You're agreeing with me there, because most people living at home aren't lucky enough to have the space you have and that was the scenario I was referencing.

When I lived at home as a student in the holidays, I had an ample amount of space, own area of the house etc., but I still hated various aspects like mum coming into the bedroom to 'tidy', being funny about bringing girls back, having to tell here where I was going, etc.

By the way, I don't play games naked, but I do walk around the house with no clothes on on occasion (my wife loves it as she gets to look at my body) and you get my general meaning!

You seem quite bitter there -Add-! Are you sure your male pride isn't taking even a teeny tiny dent living with mummy and daddy?!

I love the way you list your own personal situation and use that as a basis to declare 'you are completely on your own there with a random load of scenarios which are not generally applicable to anyone really'. In fact no, I don't love it. Just because they're not true to you, that's not to say they're not true for 'anyone really'.

Also, you have the gall to respond to the off topic discussion and then declare 'Enough off topic now ;)'. It's like at the playground when someone says their point, then puts their fingers in their ears and shouts 'la la la'! :D

At the end of the day, grown men that live with their parents are LOSERS :D. Surely it must irk you to see the smirk on a girl's face when you tell them you live with mummy and daddy?! If you've managed to find one that is desperate enough to not care, then well done!

Regarding the OP's topic, he doesn't even seem to know his budget yet so it's hard to actually stay on topic.

I have been in a long term relationship for 4 years now so I am utterly unconcerned with what girls might think as its not a situation I find myself in. I suspect many are in the same situation. I doubt you ever bring new girls back either Robbie so not sure its that relevant.

Obviously not now I'm married, but I do have a memory you know.

I'm single and dont care what girls think of me, if a girl is only concerned with how much you earn where you live and what car you drive then she's nothing but a legal prostitute

I aint exactly ugly or shallow either

I have no problem with people who havent yet moved out because they are getting some money behind them, or havent yet found a job that allows them to do that. But considering moving BACK home because you'd have more money and be able to afford an M3...really dont get that at all

Who said that?

I can't believe driving an E92 M3 and having a few more dollars in the savings account is a good enough reason for people to move back in with their mums :(.

But surely the cost of an M3 on finance would be more than enough to pay for rent in a reasonable flat. So it would be a choice of M3 or living on your own, he'd pick the M3

You dont me well enough to make that assumption, I can assure you that at this moment in time the last thing I want in my life is a woman

Perhaps sir would like a man instead? :D

Actually thinking about this whole thing, being married and having my own life is holding me back. I'm going to get divorced and move back in with mum and dad, then I can have loads more spare cash for an emfree.

Sounds like you want to live on your own, masturbating like a safari park chimp whilst playing Battlefield in your birthday suit?

Well no, I wouldn't, because I haven't.

But yes, if my circumstances were different, I'd happily live with my Mum who works most of the time I'd be at home, to own what I call a 'realistic dream car'.

I have no wishes to trade my current life to do such a thing, its completely hypothetical.

Perhaps he enjoys living with his girlfriend but has no interest in living alone? Not everyone determines happiness by whether you live in a flat or not just like not everyone determines it by what car you drive?
