Which MMORPG are you looking forward to?

i heard that WoW has a few private servers up which u can play for absolutely free if your interested in that knid of thing
^^ Really? I've not heard of anything like that. When you say private servers I take it you basically mean it's a server where you would PvE with no other player interaction?
If so I don't know that I see the appeal ; personally I would play an MMO as a game to play with friends/ teamworking game etc.
If it were to be a completely single player game I think it would fail because there would be nothing to aim for i.e. Dungeons, raids, pvp etc.

At my local lan centre they have a private WoW server that a lot of them play on with all the top gear epic mounts ect cos they can. Really brings home that it is just pixels on a screen when a few of the anti socials in there playing on the official servers are spending years and years of their lives everyday grinding away, char after char

as for years and years of grinding I dont think you have played WoW recently..... its more likes a couple of hours. 2 weeks if your unlucky
A couple of the anti socials I am refering to I used to know at secondary school and they have been playing it since the begining. Think of that southpark transformation and I am not joking!.
Now don't get me wrong I am in this thread as I used to love MMORPG's too but I just don't feel the love for them anymore (however I want nothing more than for a really good one to be released that I can play again that I look forward to playing)

I have never bought any MMORPG as i dont see the point, you are always going to get owned by some spotty 14 year old geek who spends every waking hour playing it and levelling up to the max.
Yeah and no just depends if you are in a good group in an open world game, like in Vanguard for example me and my friends played very casually and I was a bard. Now I could make my group all go invis, give us levitation, increase our run spead and most of the time we would sneak up to players much higher levels than us and destroy them

I posted that and I have to be honest even tho its one of the lamest songs I have ever heard over the past hour I have played it a few times and its kind of grown on me now

Seriously quit being so defensive with the roll eyes. I am blatently taking about 2 people in particular who are an uncanny to that episode not everyone who plays WoW. Check the thread and you will see taht I mention most of the Lan centre plays WoW just on a private server and are casual gamers like me. Not slaves to the game

that song is NOTHING to do with silkroad online....somebody on youtube has just added that in there video...

It's not so much that I'm looking forward to it but as far as MMOs go, the only one that interests me right now is Black Prophecy. It'll have a lot of competition from others like Jumpgate Evolution but I really enjoyed their first offering (Neocron), so I want to see what they can come up with this time around.
Well Darkfall appears to have failed dramatically and the new EQ server is looking to be a different type than progression now so i have absolutely nothing to look forward too.
Yeah I was waiting for a new progression server and have been playing EQ the last few months in anticipation, now it's not going to happen, meh
