Which MMORPG are you looking forward to?

I must admit, Bioware really could have perked my interest in MMOs again, but sadly they opted for the sci-fi route and I just dont get on with sci-fi. I would have much much preferred it if they have opted for a baldurs gate MMO
 
DAoC Origins, but as been said it aint gonna see the light of day for a while.

Jumpgate Evolution also look good, I've had enough of the fantasy MMO stuff and I'm hoping this will be like an updated version of Freespace.

Guild Wars 2

And maybe Lineage 3 whenever that happens as they're supposedly gonna implement WASD controls in it rather than just click to move.
 
Surprising how much apathy there is in this thread. Very few people actually excited about any upcoming game, seems to be more a case of waiting to see without much hope whether it will be any good.

The MMO industry needs a massive kick up the rear.
 
None. mmos are pretty much done for me.

There are many reasons why, I dont want to list, but all add up to me not being able to face another mmo ever again.

tbh I hardly get excited about any game now adays. Its all hype and rarely live up to it.

That includes MMO's as well as any other games. I think the only games "recently" I have been excited about has been Rock Band 2 and er..... I think thats it.

If a FF7 remake was to be annouced I would most likely flip out ! :p But till then....... meh to everything

If you dont set your expectations of a game you can never be truely disapointted. (Well you can but thats proberbly because the game is total carp)
 
I'll be interested in Cryptic's new one Champions Online, if only because I quite liked City of Heroes and used to play the Champions RPG.

Old republic looks interesting as they are approaching the Star Wars universe the right way and allowing Jedi from the start in a time period that makes sense.

The Warhammer 40K MMO if it ever becomes more than vapourware. But with the "limited" success of WAR it may take some time to see the light of day.
 
Quite happy dabbling in Warhammer for now, liked the look of Darfall but gone off it seriously after seeing some videos of how it plays. None of the current crop really interests me, was looking forward to the Stargate MMO but have a feeling it'll be a huge disappointment or full of l33t idiots/WoW players.
 
None seem to be appealing to me.. Darkfall sounds like it'll be worth a go, but I think the recent few years of MMO's has been a massive let down so I am being pessimistic about it.
 
There aren't many successful mmo's out there really, not with World of Warcraft still kicking about.

Whatever Blizzard announce next (mmo's wise) will be what I pay attention to.

The mmo's since WoW have been a huge let down, EvE does well, but thats because its not trying to compete with Warcraft, it's not fantasy.

Until Warcraft is dead, Companies need to stop trying to make RPG fantasy MMO's.

They're not going to do very well.
 
cant understand why there isnt another cyberpunk mmo out. neocron had so many good ideas but the game was let down by bugs and lack of content. if the game had blizzards devs and publishers im sure it would have been massive.
 
Well FFXI was installed, played for 20 minutes and uninstalled. Terrible UI, terrible graphics, playonline thingy is awful, combat is rubbish. The whole game just doesnt feel right and the menu options when fighting etc is so clunky. Back to waiting for Darkfall lol.

Many may see this as a korean grinder but wth I like it when lvl actually means something.

A few of the guys I play MMOs with are looking forwards too Star Wars too, might take a look at that as it looks decent enough.

Im also looking forwards to Gpotato's new roller blading MMO, looks like Jet Set Radio's online incantation, theres a free beta atm but its only fr/de
