Which MoHAA Clan did you play for?

Slight hijack of a thread, but the ClanBase mention got me all nostalgic. I used to be in #eDs (European Death Squad 
) playing for Vindicator and The Baptist mainly on Soldier of Fortune II. As somebody else mentioned, I lost all contact when MSN Messenger died.

I am a collector and I've got a lot of screenshots and files to share if you want. I notably found an SQL backup of the NER forum made in 2005. It is probable that it contains a detailed history of what happenned between 2003 and 2005 amongst big clans : inter-clan meetings minutes, leagues setup discussions, league calendars, matches summaries and results... and dramas obviously !

Seing the names you listed on there, you clearly are a former member of NER, long before we started the sub country clans and labelled ourselves as NER-HQ. And since I dont see an important name in that list, I am pretty sure that you are.... my old friend JULY, from Bath ! I still have a pic of you and Delta in an archived mailbox

Hi mapper mate!! so much time we spent on Radiant, that damn BSP compiler, and .MAP forums, didn't we ? Some legendary names of the modding scene still persist in my mind : JV_map, Scorpiomidget, casquebleu....
Looks like we again did the same things after MOH because the only games I really played afterwards were WoW and TF2 ! I still play WoW vanilla on a private server.
And I still have all my server-side mods and map files !

Since EA shuttted down GameSpy servers some years ago, there's no way to find a server anymore from within the original clients (AA, SH, BT). The only way to still play the game in MP from the original clients is thus to manually enter a server's IP address. Which is obviously complicated for most people. So that could have killed the game.
So the X-Null modders community came with this MOH revival edition. What they basically did is compile a new client, in which they replaced the gamespy browser IP with their own server browser, and also added the latest patches and fixes for the game.

Although it is not perfectly legit, EA will never sue anyone for this because they decided to kill their game on their own, leaving people that bought it for MP part, with nothing.

In which clan were
Originally I was in RDH, then BdD also in DRM and then finally in AA and still am. Played as sniper as (DRM)Griff* and was also war arranger for most of them
There's a common server fix for MOHAA which lists servers in the server browser. Works fine, double click and you're in like it always used to.
The biggest issue I find is if you want to jump into some freezetag or objective, there's hardly any servers - as with many games, people have moved to custom gamemodes and maps etc.

Ok so I had to create an account to reply to this thread! And scrolling through, I remember playing for |FuN| for a period, and pretty sure uG too but can't fully remember.

Those were my main 3 I can remember, also spent hours upon hours on the [HH] Hopeless Heroes Rifle Only Server.

I played this game for two years straight. Back then this is the only game I played. No clan but me and a couple of friends played this religiously.

I played between 2002 and 2006, first for [FMJ] but then set up the .:B9:. clan after a few members were disgruntled at the way [FMJ] was being run. We played on ClanBase in the Obj Realism ladders.
I also set up a small gaming ladder called ClanCombat but shut it down after a couple of years after it was taking too much of my time to run; which was also when I packed in all of the MoH:AA gaming..
