i've gone from PS4 to undecided, being that i'm a race game fan and most of my time is playing FM4. at first i was like oooh they're backtracking on the ******** policies but after reading no night racing in FM5 i'm a bit annoyed at that, considering it's in forza horizon. i think not buying any of them prolly atleast for a year which is what i did this gen mostly.

No car trading either.

FM5 is more like FM2. features removed so it forces u to buy FM6 7 8 etc

I have to say I'm very suprised that people don't seem to bothered by the fact that you can't use your current headsets with the Xbox one. A friend at work was adamant that he would get an Xbox one until he found out he can't use his £200 turtle beach headset with the new console.

I can only assume that most on here don't use headsets or are still using the bundled headsets from the 360?

Im sure those headset manufacturers will release adaptors accordingly, just need some time to get those out.

Its more newsworthy that the XO doesnt come with a free headset (do people think Kinect is an adequate replacement? I personally dont as I really dont want randoms talking via my speakers and by talking I mean swearing :p) especially as that was one of the cornerstones that made voice comms so popular on the X360...

I was too quick to revote in xbox ones favour. After some time to research further and I've decided to preorder a ps4! Price and kill zone has done it for me.

Looking forward to a change but gonna miss forza.

Im sure the mods can get your vote changed if you ask nicely :)

I'm not convinced you will see an adaptor on the market anytime soon. MS will control the headset market of which they will probably make more from the headsets rather than selling a cheap adaptor. I wouldn't be suprised if they do something similar with hard drives.

No thats not how they are doing it, they are licensing headset manufacturing just like any other third party peripheral so its up to those licensees what they do. IIRC Turtle Beach were the first to get a license and already have announced XO headsets so perhaps its best for your mate to contact them regards support. The feeling is that adaptors will be made available but Ive not bothered to investigate if thats the case nor the cost...

EDIT: That seems to infer that an adaptor exists, whether it will be sold seperately is up to TB and MS licensing I guess...
Interestingly, Turtle Beach mentions both of its Xbox One headsets will use an "adapter" to connect to the Xbox One controller. After it was revealed that older headsets would not be able to connect to the Xbox One controller, many were left with questions as to whether third-party manufacturers like Astro Gaming would sell adapters. Clearly, the concept is possible, but it's also obvious Microsoft is controlling the licensing.

Ive happily assumed that my USB Logitech headset will work with the PS4 aswell as obviously the official BT one. Wonder if Ive assumed wrong though...

I'm totally aware, do use headsets, but times change. That's how things go.

He will be pleased if this adaptor exists already, just assumed as Microsoft controls the licence and the fact that they changed the controller port that they were not going to rush out with an adaptor so quick... Good news then, for once...

well I'll be getting the ps4 as a birthday/xmas present so it been pre-ordered, now I've pre-ordered the xbox one to buy it myself, so as long as I can save up about 50% or more of the funds need to buy it by November as it going on the card, if not then I will have to cancel my xbox one pre-order and get when I got the money to do so.

I don't use headsets much at all tbh, but if I'm getting BF4 then I might be forced into getting one. It is annoying one isn't bundled, but c'est la vie.

After ending this generation using the PS3 99% of the time, PS4 will be bought.

I don't want this extra kinect thing, or some tv stuff, or to pay for live (which is no better), or a console that looks like a shiny VHS player.

And Gran Turismo is on Playstation, which is compatible with my wheel. And i'm guessing they will retain the video out and audio out going through two different connections (very nice).

Still will have both (eventually). I'm hoping LoveFilm / other rental companies get decent stock in soon or around launch, as with historical consoles, launch games are really not worth the full price to me, and the ability to rent games (or at least more likely ability) will mean I will get the Xbox earlier than I would have.

Maybe this poll needs to be re-done as I have recently found out that xbox gamers can now share games AND they dont have to be on the internet once a day... it was ridiculous idea anyway imo.
