Considering that there are quite a few people on here who are into bodybuilding/powerlifting or just casual gym goers I was wondering how big do you people want to be and what is your ideal body? :

(stole this from another forum)

Bruce lee
Guy in CK boxer shorts in a next calalogue (ponce)
Guy on front of Mens Health
Big as possible without using gear 24/7/365
A MONSTER PRO OR BIGGER

Personally i want to be a monster pro and would love to be able to compete at a high level one day, i know loads of people think its disgusting but I admire these people and what they go through to get to where they are today, and would love to be a pro bodybuilder :)

Random question, but i was just curious :)

Tyler Durden in Fight Club

Which for my build equates roughly to Mens Health option... which I am just under now - hopefully in a few months

Nitro, what sort of size are you currently?

Id like to opt for the ponce option..
My bro actually competes, he has serious dedication to get that big, but it's a total pain in the bum to be around.

Its hard to maintain to be so huge imo and later in life its not that good. A decent size is good say around 15 stone for a 6ft3 guy

If I had the time & money, I would like to go for the Aronld look when competing in the Pumping Iron film, but with the legs of Tom Platz ;)

Realistic, I would be happy to maintain the look of the Guy on front of Mens Health :)

I use to have that desire to be extremely huge. Lived to train, eat, sleep for quite a few years but to be honest its not my desire anymore. I enjoy the sport of bodybuilding. I want to be on Men's Health proportion which I'm pretty much at but would rather concentrate on strength gains, especially in powerclean, deadlift and squat.

Ryan Reynolds' (Blade 3/Amityville Horror) physique would be my ideal. But whether or not I have the genetics or determination to religiously stick to a diet and keep my bodyfat % down is another story.

i wouldn't want to be even like the dudes on mens health, just toned (yes i know everyone denies such a thing exists but you know what I mean, trim, flat stomach, no ridiculous muscles), around tyler durden size, maybe a little less.

BIG!

Not that i'm small now :p

Would like to stay about the same weight, maybe drop down to 18stone, but drop some bodyfat.

Mainly want to be stronger though.

I was just wacthing Blade as well & as I'm pretty skinny & find it hard to pack on mass (Even with those Weight gainer supplements) I'd have to say Ryan Reynolds size would do me fine.

Ideally though if I could gain the mass I'd like to get to John Cena (of WWE fame) size, he's big but not over the top if you know what I mean??

Nitrogen, I'm with you I find the Pro's to be amazing generally the amount of effort & work they have to do to get where they are astounds me & I just wish that I had the same dedication & time to spare to get anywhere near that level, but just lately it's all stopped for me :( Just taken on a flat so no spare time for anything other than decorating at the mo :(

Hopefully though I'll be back training proper soon & will reach my goals sometime this year.

Neil

I wouldn't want to be huge, its far too ugly.

I reckon David James kinda physique would do me fine.

Oh for the time to spend the day long messing about with a footy or in the gym.

I agree, there are also problem that it will slow you down etc, and most people who are can't straighten their arms. Bruce Lee phisique tbh, stong, fast and light.

Pudzian would be my dream, but it will never happen.

Something along the lines of Ben Cohen would do me nicely, but a bit stronger.

i think the best physiques are seen on ppl who do indoor althletics i.e the rings and horse etc.
I know quite a few ppl who were massive ,they all say the same thing , that they wish they had never seen a weight and the ones that took steriods wish they never had either, they all have knackered joints and other ailments related to lifting large amounts of weight that the human body was never designed to do.
