Which size monitor do people use?

What I think would be the ideal screensize would be a res slightly over 1440p at 30", but as only 1440p is / will ever be available, I would say 28-29" 1440p. But out of what is actually available I have tried 32" and 27" 1440p and I prefer the 27" because of the PPI. A 28-29" 1440p would be good as it would still have 100+ PPI, but the 109PPI on 27" is noticeably better than the 99 PPI on my other monitor. 28.5" 1440p I say would be the sweetspot. I would like to get a 48" 4K TV at some point, that would have the same PPI as a 24" 1080p screen which would probably be very nice on a 48". 55" 4k would have the same PPI as a 27.5" 1080p screen.

24" @1200p main screen, pair of 17" @1024x1280 in portrait as satellites. Gives a nice symmetry to my desktop, and I don't get much from multi-monitor gaming (tried it, don't like the distortion in the periphery).

Buuuuttt... that 24 has begun to feel a bit small of late. And I might have saved myself about a grand on something else, so I could be tempted by a 28-30" centre screen :]

I tried 1440 27" for a bit but went back to a 1080 g-sync monitor for now. Because I just found 27" to big for the distance I'm sitting from the screen. Plus I missed the smoothness, 1440 took quite a big chunk out of the performance in some games :D
