Add to your list:
guillotine nail clippers.
Put bed in cage/crate so that he knows that it's his safe place and can wander in and out until you want to close him up; He will get used to it then.
Don't know if you know anything about training or not so excuse me if you are experienced.
Never hit your dog, a sharp NO! when needed and only when immediate/caught red handed; train him/her by rewards ..... like us, they respond much better when praised/rewarded than scolded/punished.
Boredom is the cause of most damage; exercise (not too much when young) and stimulation (training/play) = healthy mind and body. Look out for elec' cable chewing as he could end up gone in a flash.
Enjoy your dog and try to become a responsible/liked owner who neighbours and the public welcome rather than shun.
