Which TV chefs DON'T you like?

I have no problem with a man that's in touch with his emotional side, but Oliver is ALWAYS crying.

*slap* pull yourself together!

I really like Heston!
Raymond is a bit annoying. I got on with him for a while, but yeah, gone off him since.
Worral Thompson is the worst of the lot.
Nigella can be really quite annoying
Nigel Slater bugs me as well

Oh, and don't get me started on some of the Food Network TV chefs... It's our houses 'we haven't got anything else to watch' channel, and yeah, some of them are horrific...

Always hated AWT, even back in the Ready Steady Cook days.

For some reason Nigel Slater irks me. He's not a natural in front of the camera, and I don't ever recall seeing one of his dishes that looked or sounded appetizing.

I find Bill Granger cringeworthy. They guy creeps me out something chronic. Nigel Slater creeps me out as well, but I quite like his food style.

Never liked Nigella. There isn't enough in her programmes about the food and I don't like her higher class status making out that it's so tough. I'm sure it's not.

Rachel Allen is unconvincing. I watch her programmes and feel like she's never cooked anything before.

Jamie Oliver winds me up but I love his food, got a couple of his books, and I think I secretly do like the fella :p

I love James Martin on Saturday Kitchen but every time I've seen him on something non-food related he's been a helmet of the highest order. I think he's good live, but not great on pre-recorded shows. For Saturday Kitchen I think it's time for him to step aside and they should use that fella who stands in when James Martin is on holiday. Can't remember what his name is but he's a natural on the show.

Heston. He winds me up and i dont know why.

His recent series about improving catering was interesting but at the same time punch worthy. THe submarine one for example where he was getting them to eat some 19th century fish soup "like they did in the olden days" Im sure it was the most out there thing he could find just to make it amusing.

Then at the same time he suggested the pre cooked sealed food bags and the navy thought it was a great idea, which tbh it was...

I hate the whole smoke billowing, fantastical hay smoked pork ice cream soup crap he comes out with, it used to be interesting when he was the "food science guy" now for me :( meh

Nigel slater - simple suppers . Its just so middle class and lifestyle its not cooking its porno for decking loving urban gardeners.

Heston Blumenthal- clearly a genius, but the guy is just so far ahead of the game he has no sense of reality. Maybe that's the whole point.
.

That's the point, love his in search of perfection and the big dinner ones.
Why did he do the navy/hospital and other shows they were crud.
Stick to in search of perfection, I want more series of that.

Another vote for Anthony Thompson

There are a few I don't like but for me James Martin needs taking outside and shooting, he can't present a tv show to save his life and really annoys me!!!

GALTON BLACKISTON - the man annoys me above any other tv chef, his smug face, his criticisms of other better chefs food, his smug face i hate it all.

Jamie Oliver - again i find him to be very smug and full of self appreciation

Brian Turner - No point to him at all

Ainsley Herriott - No point to him at all

Tamasin Day Lewis - Looks like she needs a wash and to comb her stig of the dump hair

Anthony Worrall Thompson - No point to him at all

Ainsley and Lorraine pascale or however it's spelt. DO MY HEAD IN. I'm not racist!

AWT is a prize tool and so is James Martin. Nigella keeps using packet stuff, makes me want to shut her up with my ****.

Marco Pierre White by a country mile. Minus the o and the r.

I remember when I first saw the horrible advert for his stock cubes. Up to that point I knew the name but not the face. He delivers the line 'The best thing to happen to cooking since me', and at no point in the advert do they refer to fact that this guy is Marco Pierre White. To me he was just some smug git in an advert.

Since then that's all I can think of him as.

Not a big fan of Nigella too... She isn't sexy. She's middle-aged, a bit fugly, & overweight. Her food is in the same league as Delia (at best).

she boils my blood, the way she thinks she is inducing male orgasms around the country as she winks into the camera just annoys the hell out of me!!

infact I'm printing out pictures of her now just so I can pass them through my shredder!!

The only one i have any appreciation for is Jamie Oliver.

Bawling aside, i liked his School dinners series because it helped highlight and address a 'minor' oversight in our education system.

absolutely agree for those reasons. The bloke deserves a knighthhod, he really does. I'm in the trade, and trying to get catering staff to change their ways from using packets and going fresh is so so difficult. People just don't want to know.
So I totally understood his frustrations when he set out on the school dinners thing, never used to really care much for him, but I sure respect him now.

Chefs i dislike?
Only one, Ramsay...when he 1st came on the scene, boiling point series, he was fantastic. Came across as real.
now, he's a parody of himself, it's all fake, sucking up to stars, total arse.
