Ok so it's sunny, I have my car back and i want to give it the full works, the main reason im going to wax it (never waxed it before). Im thinking about getting the clay bar kit but don't have that much experience with a clay bar, which wax is the best to go for and nice and easy to use which gives great results.

Don't you have whiplash? You shouldn't be waxing a car in your state mate. I'd leave it for a while if I were you!

He's got a point - there's a whole other thread for discussing your views on his injuries or lack thereof  <---rolleyes at not using the other thread not at the whiplash ;)

I'm a fan of Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax, nice and easy to apply and gives a good finish. Put autoglym Polish underneath it too :)

I use the 3 step meguiars stuff...

But it takes ages to do, and I find the wax dries a lot quicker than most I've used.

Meguiar's Step 1 Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
Meguiar's Step 2 Deep Crystal Polish
Meguiar's Step 3 Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax

When I used it on my car, it was so shiney it looked like it was wet for ages.

So was I until I found out it's not a wax :(
Whattt???
I use the Tech Wax stuff (blue/purple bottle right?)

is it fake wax then?

My routine (post washing) is
paint cleaner
deep polish
tech wax
windows
wheels

should I be using something instead of the tech wax for the longer lasting finish?

I do find the tech wax does lose is 'bubblyness' of water after a few days :(

back to your cave troll boy.

Troll only posts once in a thread pal, don't go getting up tight because you apparently have whiplash and then ask how to make your car pristine.

-Mike-, do us a favour and keep that banter in the other thread. You have made your point, why follow him around every thread and spout the same crap?

Its a wonder why this forum is slowly turning to poo (want to insert rude word instead)

Why insult me, i've only said what countless others will be thinking. Forum slowly turning to poo - yes thats right mostly new people. I've been here a wee while now and I don't normally pick at things, but things like insurance diddling directly affect me. So I'll pick all I like.

I have not insulted you at all, if you feel I have RTM the post.

I agree with your stance on the insurance thing, but thread trashing for the sake of it is crap. thats why I asked you to keep the banter on that topic IN that topic.
this one is about waxing. irrespective of his medical condition.

Just ordered some Poorboys Natty Paste carnuba wax  Meant to pretty good stuff & did not break the bank.

Gonna give it a go this weekend if I get a chance.

I use Nattys Blue on the Elise. Not sure if it's any better than other waxes but it smells lovely so that's good enough for me.
