Which will suit my car best?

This is a car I'm keeping until I graduate (4 years) no point saving my money not like I'll change it in a few months
So you're a student and want to spend £500 on some alloys on a car worth £5k, that will add no value to it?

Sit back and think about it. I've been in that position and I spent hundreds on stuff for cars that I didn't need, whereas I could've put they money to better use.

Thanks for the advice, I had a look around but they all seem to be running on stock ones which I'm not a fan off
have a look at rimstyle.com website :) they usually have decent choice, prices and a decent selection of tyres too.

I've bought a few sets of them and they've always been good.

gun metal might look good or silver even.

Sorry, but black alloys look gash, on almost everything, especially small shopping-trolley city cars.

Why not find a nice set of wheels from another VAG group product (Polo/Fabia/Golf/A1/A3), or better yet, just get yours refurbished in gunmetal or something.

I'm not doing this to add value as I'll most likely run this car into the ground or sell it for a few hundred pounds it's solely done for my own satisfaction and to improve the look over the battered oem wheels

Spend some money on getting the current ones refurbed, even painted black if you want(!) and save the rest.

What other colour/model what you suggest? Gun metal, silver?

I just had a quick look on eBay for 'ibiza FR wheels' and there are a few different styles of OEM wheel available, all of which I reckon will look smart. You can then sell your old alloys and get some money back. Maybe then use some of this money to have any bodywork scratches/dents sorted out, and you'll have yourself a well-kept, smart little car.

Cheers I'll have a look at the oem choices, car has under 30k miles and has no scratches or dents so I'm good on that end

Go for silver/gunmetal. Black looks utterly crap on everything, OEM to £4k 3 piece split rims. Especially paired with white cars. Horrible look.

If you want to keep the OEM-ish look then what you have linked there would be spot on. If you want aftermarket specifically, then I personally rather like the look of these pseudo-BBS rip offs...

yeah, bbs/bbs ch knockoffs look good on most cars.

He's not asking for advice on how to spend his £500, he's asking about a preference regarding wheels. What you would do with the money, or what you would have done is entirely irrelevant.

typical ocuk isn't it! if the guy wants new wheels then go him, I spend way too much on cars but I don't go out clubbing/drinking etc so what ever makes me happy ? mind your own beeswax ocuk.

Do you like the design of the wheels you currently have on? It might be worth just getting them touched up and powder coated. Be about £200.

Designs are ok but I'd be tempted by another colour.

Also, ignore people going on about adding value etc It's your car, your money, your choice.
