as far as ireland had good chance of getting to wc ,but messed up at last 2 games with israel
maybe england should play a good team instead of stars

I don't think England will win but I've put a pound on them in case they do.

People have put too much importance on the performance in the first game, winning ugly is very important in this comp. Brazil struggled past Turkey (x2), Belgium and England in 2002.

I think you've got a great chance of winning but it's impossible to pick the best team from England, Argentina, Holland and Germany at the moment. It could be anyone's game in the quarters/semis.

Argentina are the only team to play anywhere near their potential........yet.

1st half performance we can win it,2nd half performance we wont get out the group.

Not quite. As a tight Scotsman I find money talk a tad vulgar, so 'a pound' represents my bet, it's not a huge bet but it's enough to soften the blow if they win.

Well England could easily get through to the semi's where we would most likely meet Brazil, and judging by how they played yesterday i would fancy our chances tbh especially if Wayne Rooney is let loose on that creaky ageing defence.

Until Sven pulls his head out of his arse we have no chance. We will bore our way to the quarter finals and thats about it i think. I have a nasty feeling that McClaren will just continue doing things the same though

Seen lots of people say that Argentina played well, but I thought they were lucky to beat the Ivory Coast. Didn't learn anything about them that I didn't already know, except that the two subs they brought on are useless. In fact, none of the top sides have filled me with dread so far.
